Where did we come from... What happens when you die?

I think you shouldnt be constantly thinking of death and how earth and humans were made, but fulfill life and have fun. I personally think there are other lifeforms in the universe because think about it, we live in a microscopic part of the universe wer the heat, sunligt and all are human needs are there for us and its just perfect for life. Other planets lifeforms can still be at the starting process just like we started off as when we were cingular cell organisms. But you never know

 

no one really knows where you go or what happens.

 

Death is nothingness, when you die you cease to exist, conciousness is not your soul, your brain is what retains the essence of you, when you die brain activity ceases and you are gone.

 

I don't believe in the "We will go to heaven / hell" ect.. I mean, if you die you die.. And in the future you may be able to resurect the dead.. If we were to resurect the dead, they wouldn't come back from hell/heaven.. And untill this happens no one could say. Also to prove that something happens after death is physically impossable.. And because we can't travel into the past/future we can't prove anything.

People tend to think that they're different, better than other animals. Just cause we have thumbs we get everlasting bliss when we die?

No.

Humans are animals. It's in the bible [for what good it is]: Animals don't go to heaven or hell. They just cease to exist.

Same with people.

We are where we are because of bigger brains and thumbs. Nothing more to it.

 

many thoughts on this is about religion. and monkey, we ARE animals. we just evolved more. religion has almost evrything to do with this subject.

 

I believe we came from God...We have the opportunity to go to heaven or hell.

Unfortunately this is a scary thought but nobody ever will know.
I've seen TV shows that find ghosts, so we may never know if there really are.

Im not sure were we came from but when i die -touch wood- I hope i can come back to life again, I forgot the word for it someone remind me please?

Also i think we will probibly feel pain for a short while befor we die but when we are dead completly i don't think we feel pain.

 

To come back to life again is called reincarnation.

Anyways, half of you people keep saying we came from monkeys, or evolved from a cell. Well tell me, where did THEY come from as that is inevitably where we did.

Personally, I believe we were created by God and that there is a Heaven and a Hell.

 

You could apply the same question to the religious theory of creation.

God always was, always is, and always will be. God is timeless, time is a measure of man, not God.

Anyways, I think we're getting a bit off topic. I simply brought it up because saying "we came from monkeys" isn't a valid answer.

 

Actually, we DID come from apes, that's a fact. I'd advise against arguing with facts. If you look at your mom and then your mom's mom and then your mom's mom's mom and so on, you will eventually see the corpse of an ape.

Oh, and as for God, we've all heard that one a billion times before, stop being a wise ass.

 

I've also heard that we came from apes a billion and one times and it is hardly a fact, so please don't say "that's a fact".

Repeating yourself doesn't make you look wise either. You avoided my question, so I'll ask it again. If we came from apes, where did they come from because undoubtedly that would be are true source.

 

No one really knows, i kinda believe the evalution thing more and that we just turn to worm food when we die.
