Really a RS3 coming out in 2008?

This will happen right after Hell freezes over.

 

This isn't officially said anywhere, besides, RS3 woudn't make it much better...RS as of now only has character models of up to 200 polygons, and having been in Java is no excuse, as they chose to be experts in that language and not a more efficient/better one.

They're just rumors. If you don't read it directly from a Jagex Forum or ingame moderator, it's just talk.

Well I also heard alot of rumors, but i dont think they will be coming out with rs3

 

they are currently working very hard with rs2, and no i NEVER heard such a thing. Why do u want rs like wow? Wake up! they said they will use java-based platform! Do you think java can handle/create games like wow? lol

 

that will cool rs3 with better graphics, but it will cost more

 

if they do an RS3 it'll just be a step up on RS2, just like the change from C to 2.
The basic limits of Java will still be there and they won't change from the 'no download / no install / run on anything anywhere' concept so it can't be that huge.

could be that mechscape thats been talked about, which could be cool.

This rumor started with the November BTS where they said they had something really big coming at the start of 2008, but I believe Jagex said they would never be releasing an RS3, but rather just improving graphics as much as they could over time.

 

Im sure that they would post it, also their is a "very big" update coming up this Winter they wrote down on the latest update, so DEFINATLY not rs3, since people are saying its going to be a new skill.

 

Rs3 is doubtful, but i kinda like the idea of the MechScape thing.

 

Lol maybe mechscape will be good like rs wih lasers and wow graphics (ya right)

 

Maybe its a new skill...... I seriously doubt its mechscape I don't think they would announce it on runescape.

 

Jagex clearly stated their never going to make a rs3. But I personnely think it's weather that their coming out with.

And RS graphics suck way more, 200 polygons for a CHARACTER model, that really is plain shit. Even if you say they can't do that with Java, they can at least make better textures, but all their textures look like they're made on MS Paint, literally.

 

thats what made rsc so great i loved that game with the shit graphics lol
