My mIRC.exe file...

When ever I dl the install for the mIRC its all fine but then once its finished installing the mIRC.exe file isn't there. Even Res sent me his whole mIRC folder after he compressed it. But for some reason the mIRC.exe file never shows up. Its like it rejects it and installs everything else. Even when using the search to look for it, nothing comes up.

Does anyone know what the problem might be?

 

Start > Run > "%programfiles%\mIRC\mirc.exe"

Does it say "not found"?

My guess would be that your anti-virus has flagged "mirc.exe" as some kind of Trojan, mcafee does this to me all of the time, with stuff. I am not sure how to prevent this except to turn off your anti-virus

 

Wow thanks. I think that might be it, but wouldn't you have to keep it turned off all the time?

 

You could add an exception for it, I believe.

 

Iv tried looking to see if there were any exception options, but there were none that I could see.
