New update sucks..!

the point of that stupid update was to stop trust trades.
i didnt know rc/hunt/wc/mining/farming had trust trades..

 

*shrug* seen better, seen worse. interesting but not really floating my boat yet.

 

i dont like it... there is no point in getting a high lvl cuz u can just borrow from someone else....

I like the update. Now I can use my friends high mining to get runite ore and he can use my woodcutting

 

Its so pointless to reach a high lvl now (85 fletching for example) when you can ask someone to assist you so you can fletch whatever you can at 85 flethcing.

99 fletching doesn't really help anyone - it's barely profitable. Most people get it purely for the cape, skill total, or the mage xp from alching the bows later on. Assistence changes none of these incentives. It's no better or worse a skill than it ever was.

The same can be said for most skills. The benefits to noobs is limited, in that people are only willing to offer their assistence for so long, and with so much effort; they aren't going to escort you to the rune rocks, or let you make 10k magic bows off them. The convenience of being able to do it yourself is still there.

 

its a good idea, they just fucked it up bad.

Only thing that is going to happen is the prices of some stuff go down thats it..

 

lol does it work for slayer. If it does then some level 3 can assist a high level while there doing slayer, and get like 50 slayer

 

I think I see a new motive to this update. If you look on the main page, there is a clarification message. Jagex has changed it since they posted it. It used to say something like this in it: "...this new system keeps you from risking an unbalanced trade..."

This makes me wonder if they are stepping up their efforts to catch gold sellers. Perhaps their trade detection system was banning too many people for real life trading. It's hard to say... just a possibility.

 

The assist system is actually kinda useful, just the other day I was working on an essay and some guy wanted to use my woodcutting lvl to get wood. Well since he was cutting willows I let him use while I did my homework! Got 27k xp off of the deal. Woot Sauce

 

they try to make the game more fun by the word "updates" no jagex your wrong. i used to look forward to the updates everymonth now im just hoping to not effect the game play too much. this could even make zezima fly through the ranks... im sure everyone will be willing to use his skills/help him level up for a meer spot on his friends list. i guess as the old saying goes "don't mess with a good thing"

 

i personally like the idea i find it useful

 

It would be better if you didn't have to stand around doing NOTHING,
Jagex needs to make it so you can close the window without stopping the assistance.
All it leads to is noobs asking questions and a serious annoyance for the higher levels.
