Was 9/11 planned by the U.S. government?

I think it was planned by the government. I don't know why for sure.

It was planned for an excuse to get the oil. I have other theories but its not really suitable here.

Why are your other theories not suitable here? Is it unfit for our ears? Maybe its because they don't make sense.. Unless your 'theories' involve pornographic photographs- then they are suitable for Sythe..

We will never know what happened, whether it was our own government or not, they would have covered it way to well, and I don't believe that our government did it, but some politicians used it to make money. (NOT ONLY BUSH)

 

The insurance was made only a few weeks, or even days before 9/11.
I think it was planned by the government.

 

There is a video I have seen of the 4 terrorists with their little group getting into terrorism. Osama gave them orders and they followed. It was a long time plan by them. We knew they were here, we just had no idea what they were about to do.

 

Not going to read through 25 pages of other theories. I did do a term paper for my senior year of high school about the 9/11 conspiracies and i do believe that it was planned by the government. Too many things are wrong.

I will not go into grave detail on this because i simply do not have the patience right now.

But a few of the things that come to mind are as follows:

- When Bush was informed during his reading at the school, he patiently took his time getting out of there, and acted like nothing was happened.
- It was said that he saw the first plane hit on the news, when in fact that did not become aired until the next day
- The material that the towers were made of could withstand temperatures much higher then jetfuel is able to burn
- If the footage of the plane hitting the building is slowed by frame, you can clearly see the explosion occurring prior to the plane impact.
- Many people inside the building claim they heard explosions from around them, on all levels, on different occasions. Bombs planted on each support beam perhaps?
- If compared to demolition videos, the falling of the twin towers compares identical to that of a building being planned for demo

Yeah, I also believe that it was the government who planned this.

However is Bush that greedy for power he would kill 2000 of his own people for oil and to be Re-elected.. So many Unanswered questions but yes, overall i believe it was the US government.

The government doesn't give crap about it's citizens. It's how they run. As long as theres a big FAT check in their pockets, they could care less! I'm not the only one who thinks this .. Mad and powerhungry .. The only reason US citizens care about these things are because it's what fuels there life every day. So many marches and stands .. that's ONLY because it's what THEY need to SURVIVE. The old government officials feed lies to everyone to make them feel secure without really BEING secure. 9/11 Was planned. They KNEW they were going to kill thousands of people. As far as they're concerned, people have children every day. It'll grow back soon ..

Faith in the government is the MOST idiotic thing anyone could have. GEORGE BUSH has a father who can and does do EVERYTHING for him. He can start wars, raise taxes, and kill innocent people! As long as daddy is there backing off the REAL government officials who try to do the RIGHT thing, he'll keep on doing it. If he didn't have daddy there, do you think that a former drug abuser would be in charge!?!? NO!

It's rediculous .. but don't let my opinion affect yours .. I will ask that you do one thing, though. If you live in the US, I want you all to do something. Go outside, go around the corner, walk a couple of blocks and then tell me that this world isn't becoming a HELLHOLE!

BBC- maybe just an incorrect time issue.

US planned it? most likely not. but definitely knew about it and did nothing to prevent it in order to use that in the future as justification for their actions in iraq and afghanistan.

 

If you read "The Truth" and "Lies and the Lying Liars who Tell Them" (by Al Franken), you will see that the U.S. government had many warnings about 9/11. Bush was told in person "The system is blinking red". He then skipped off for a one month vacation. I don't have the books with me, so I can't provide citations, but look into it.

 

I'm positive the federal agencies knew 9/11 (or events similar) were going to happen yet they worried about protecting themselves rather than the general public.

I compiled a list of events which proves this;

The San Francisco Chronicle reported one day after the attacks that Mayor Willie Brown received a phone call eight hours before the hijackings from what he described as his air security staff, warning him not to travel by air:

“For Mayor Willie Brown, the first signs that something was amiss came late Monday when he got a call from what he described as his airport security—a full eight hours before yesterday’s string of terrorist attacks—advising him that Americans should be cautious about their air travel… Exactly where the call came from is a bit of a mystery. The mayor would say only that it came from ‘my security people at the airport.’”

The London Times reported that the famous novelist, Salman Rushdie, received a similar warning to avoid U.S. and Canadian airlines. According to Rushdie’s own testimony, the warning came directly from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The Times reports:

Another report points to the Pentagon’s dubious role. Newsweek reported that on 10th September 2001, the day before the attacks, “a group of top Pentagon officials suddenly canceled travel plans for the next morning, apparently because of security concerns.” An earlier report by Newsweek, published two days after the attacks, referred to the same event in more detail:

“… the state of alert had been high during the past two weeks, and a particularly urgent warning may have been received the night before the attacks, causing some top Pentagon brass to cancel a trip. Why that same information was not available to the 266 people who died aboard the four hijacked commercial aircraft may become a hot topic on the Hill.”

These selective warnings—and I have no doubt there were many more we have not yet heard about—suggest strongly that the FBI, CIA and other federal agencies had the information, knew something big was up, something that involved terrorist attacks on airliners, but failed to disclose the information to the airlines and the flying public in general. I think heads should roll at the FBI and CIA. I think there ought to be an investigation into what the FAA knew and when it knew it. I think, once again, the federal government has neglected its main responsibility under the Constitution—protecting the American people from attack.

 

i agree. i think it must of been planned. it gave bush a greenlight for war. and let him reek the riches of war.

I am trying to confirm it. Personally, I don't believe in the hypothesis of demolition, military planes, etc., but the evidence is really unsurmountable that the U.S. government knew, and stood by.

 

all of you are sick to think of these as much as i hate the government and bush no sick sociopath could even do this to kill 1,000's of his own people. couldnt there be a very elaborate terrrorist attack with bombs inside the building as well tht went off 10 seconds before. the new report is bullshit. its on youtube for godsake...
