HELP WITH BTC PAYMENT HELP 0 confirms 12+ later

This is only like my 5th time using BTC, I have sent someone $50 worth BTC 16 hours ago and not even 1 confirm.

He waiting for 3 confirms to send me the money to the bank.

1, Is there anything i can do to cancel it or get my money back? resend with bigger fee?
2, is there anything he could of done for this to happen?
3, I did not change the fee.

 

Nope, it's happening to some people too, backlogged transactions or something. There's been cases where it takes up to 72 hours and then they start refunding the bitcoin back to your account. Other than that I don't think you can cancel it without some sort of force double spent which I have no clue how to execute nor do I recommend. Only way to speed this up in the future is up the fees a bit.
