The Lure (What was going on)?

This is a true story, i was hanging around in fally when some random guy asked me to bring just my whip into the wildy for a video. I instantly knew this was a common way to draw people into a lure, as i have even used it before =)

So, he tells me to take no items and trades me and makes me prove i have no food and probably prayer pots hmmm... I ask him to show his inv, he had a load of runes for binds+teleblock , lobbies and pots, dscimmy, dds + sara/zammy staffs.

We goto level 30 wildy where he kills me down to about 5-10 hp and stops. He tells me he didn't set up the screen recorder right so i need to use the prayer to raise my HP up again(which also drains my pray to zero) so the poision doesnt kill me.... Earlier on i got my brother to log onto his pure and hide off the mini-map, so i told the guy i had no prayer to stall him while my brother came along and almost owned the dude who ran and teled.

Anyway, does anyone know how this guy was going to try and force me to skull... im 100% sure it was some kind of lure because i messaged him in friends list just before and he told me and said LOL NOOB LURER and he simply replied with LOL and logged out...

He would've gone out there to find out what the lure was so he could do it himself. But anyway i would've just said "ok, i turned on the prayer" and then just told him it was out like 5 minutes later. No idea what he was trying to do, BUT he may of had a twin account and said "wait up" logged out then in on the twin acc then say "hit me since you won't skull anyway, and it'll look ownage for the vid". Just my theory, could've been anything though.

 

Haha, that sounds like a plan that wasn't thought out to well. Or maybe it was really for a video? who knows..thats funny

 

Yeah right...when, in your entire RS career, have you noticed someone that was actually doing a video on that?

Yeah, when someone tries that 4 item whip lure on me, I just bring telegrab runes lol.

 

he might drop 3 noted mystic tops

 

he'll drop like 4 dbaxes or 4 torag hammers, which protect over the whip

 

I kinda see what the lurer tried to do lol.

My theory on the lure :

Lurer : " A "
Lured: " B "

'A' tells 'B' to bring 1 (or 3) items into wild (usually good items, ergo abby whip, dragon skim, etc.). 'A' tells 'B' its for a video, or hes trying out a new glitch (the 'glitch' reason works the best). Whilst 'B' doesnt know that 'A' has a twin acc, thats skulled already, has a bag halfway full of food, and has a tele (probably), 'B' just assumes that 'A' will not be able to get any of his stuff, since 'A' will attack 'B' and gets skulled. Anyways, 'A' will get to the point where his twin acc is (that is the same level, and is wearing the same things). So, when 'A' and 'B' arrive to that point, 'A' says something like " Ok, now lemme atk you and get your health down halfway. 'B' will probably say "fine, since im not gonna be skulled" and 'A' will attack 'B' and get his health down low (while 'B' is asking 'A' his health every hit). Once 'B's Health is down low, 'A' will say " Sorry, brb k? my fone is ringing " ("fone", since you cant say phone in the game ). And so, 'A' logs onto his twin acc, and says "Sorry, it was just my mom calling", and 'B' will probably say something like "its ok" or "w.e". So, 'A' will say " Ok, now you atk me and get my health as low as possible. and since i attacked you first, you won't skull. " Then if he attacks you, BOOM. He gets skulled. You k0 him. you just got a whip/dragon wep/rune armour or wep

best things about this:

1) You cant be banned for luring, because the original account that said everything, like " follow me " and stuff, isnt logged on. he'll report your twin acc that only said " atk me and get my health down low.. etc "
2) It works for P2P AND F2P!

I actually made that lure up.. O_O but thats what it seemed like he was doing. I will prolly make a thread about this lure under Rs2 Guides. And no im not gonna sell it, that'd be stupid.

Well i went out there so my brother could kill the lurer on my pure, but the guy managed to get away after he skulled one me =)

I have a video of it but i die of poison before you can see my bro log in and attack him.
