Multiple monitors

I was considering getting multiple monitors for my computer (and maybe multiple CPU's also).

Convince me as to why I should.

like 10 screens with a chair in the middle, and they should all only show a part of it. and you could spin around and look kickass in your cpu monitor circle.

 

Well if you play runescape you can have more than one autoer going?
You can download more stuff and faster
Watch more movies
and most importantly have more than one webcam chick in full view

 

From someone running quad-monitors (three 19" widescreens and a 15" wall mounted), dual monitors, at least, is a must.

For me it's the face that I never close the IRC window, but it means you can lookup information and document findings at the same time without minimizing anything, or watch a movie while surfing the web.

Nah you don't need it unless you do things like video editing often. I barely had any good use aside from that (and working on large programming projects)... where I could have video controls on the primary screen and audio controls and video preview on the other... and similarly for programming.
I have two 19" lcd monitors and I usually run my laptop simultaneously for some things.

Well, having multiple monitors IS quite badass, and it DOES make things easier. You don't have to search along the toolbar as much.

However, I will be getting heavily into coding/programming of multiple sorts for the next year, possibly more. My use of the computer is only going to increase drastically (probably not healthy, but meh).

 

Health is temporary.. One day you're going to die, and your health will be no more.

But multi-monitors.. Will go on.. long after your children and grandchildren have passed.. perhaps until the end of time itself.

 

so you can become a genious faster and learn how bomb peoples e-mails, and look fucking kick ass at the same time. how can you go wrong?

 

Multi moniters make you sound and look smarter lol. Wish i had multi monitors -.-

 

ITd be nice and all but doesnt that lower your fps in games running 2

 

Obviously if you're going to be gaming you're not going to be playing across both screens or typing a word document while sniping your enemies.

I'm going to be getting dual 22" LCD in a few months.

I'm going to learn to be a "white" hacker in a year or so. I don't get pleasure over watching people suffer so much as watching people struggle to do something which they shouldn't really be doing in the first place

I only have 1x19in LCD, but I must admit that having at least a dual setup would be badass. I commonly program, use IM, IRC, browse the net, do homework etc. at the same time, and it would make life very much easier for me.

Thats not what I meant. As in the res. being bigger your gonna lose some fps.

I have a 19in. I use to have 1024x768. My FPS went from 60 to 150.

Ya, it was kind of weird, but I love it. A lot of it is to do with the quality of the screen as well, not just the size.

Depending on the refresh rate, etc.

But then again, its nearly impossible to find a crappy widescreen lcd/plasma any more.

 

Ah okay I see. Right now Im running a Hanns-G 22 in. Widescreen. Shes done great so far. I need a new graphics card tho. I got horrible frames in UT3 demo . Im running the 7600 gt

 

I have a 7600 GT. Excellent card for most instances.

If you do get a new graphics card, try to crossfire/SLI connect them.
