    You can give hints i.e. GTX 98* (Hint: 0), or ask for users to PM you for the name.

    How is that different? People can figure the name out and report to Jagex, can't they?

    However i thought selling and buying names was allowed by Jagex.

    Selling it for GP purely is allowed, it's considered a trust trade by Jagex and if you get scammed it's your fault. Trading for real world money isn't allowed.

    yes, but bots will find the name and spam it so when u try to sell it will get sniped, so if u say the name, most people wont buy
