New option to autoing?

With the new update on its way there will also be a new auto on its way.

"Later in the month, we bring you the 'Grand Exchange'. This new building will be located in the north-west of Varrock and will house a huge new addition to the game: the ability to offer items to buy and sell across ALL servers and to ALL players! You might, for example, go to the Exchange and put a full Barrows set up for sale - then, playing Skullball in Canifis, you might get a message telling you that they have sold and that you can go to the nearest bank to receive payment! The Grand Exchange will allow you to spend more time on the things you enjoy, providing a less time-consuming alternative to selling your items on the Forums or amongst the crowds of Varrock Marketplace."

This is a new option for autoers. All they have to do is make a script to buy things that are low priced. Then re-sell it. This will be a great new option to autoing which will probably piss off allot of merchants in the game.

What do you all think will happen with it?

Yea, well not only that runescape is ripping all of WoW's ideas lmao. Its getting quite pathetic, I think its only fair to make a great auto for this new update.

 

To be honest, I haven't checked Runescape's updates in like...forever.

Although, sounds like a great chance for gold sellers like you to make a profit.

 

Or gold sellers could lose money because this is another way for the price of GP to go down. I'm sure there will be gold farmers all over it.

this update is dumb lol. runescape has never made a good update for ever basically there just making the game more boring... buying stuff and selling stuff in world 2 was fun on runescape now they want us to just work on skills.

Yes.

Its probably because of so many people complaining about not being able to get into W2. Also to tell you the truth it will be nice being able to merchant while doing other things.

also knowing jagex this might be filled with bugs

 

Yes, I remember my days as a gold trader.
Merchanting wasn't fun. It was hard work, boring, and most sellers/buyer were usually using pathetic scam techniques for steal your hard earned cash...And they usually worked!


I read most of the updates right now (which there were alot), and it seems they have scamming to an all time low right now.

So yeah, I think this update will bring in a profit to the people who find loop holes in it.

There's going to be no incentive for people to buy bulk from a single seller when they have access to hundreds of sellers, who will sell for less.

Prices will also dramatically change, though whether they go up or down will depend on the particular elasticity of that market. Either way, I'm extremely apprehensive about this update.

As for an auto, I'm sure Jagex will have prepared for that. They only recently added the infinite-stock option to protect against shop autos...and I'd be surprised (and frankly disappointed) if they were that quick to forget.

 

I think runescape needs to do something other than copy world of warcraft....I mean, all they are doing is adding on and on to the game. If they wanna make the game better then i suggest they go ahead and create a new game engine.

 

God dude,Wow didn't invent everything you know.There where more then enough games that had this kind of thing before Wow.

 

you wont be able to merchant...
everyone will be aware of the market prices and everyone will be trying to beat each others prices.

People will be the lowest priced items in each section - therefore forcing the sell to offer a lower price for their item than the lowest atm... if u get the drift.

No point in auto - auto is stupid and repetitive and no inteligence - huge errors could be conducted and mills lost - this isnt an npc - its a huge bank where u buy others' goods.
