The other two forums I'm a member of have these (Not runescape related sites).

The system works very well. You click on they're rep and can veiw why they were plus rep'ed or negative rep'd. It would save alot of trouble with people having to post vouches on theyre signatures.

    Heh? Discuss..

Yes but wouldn't it be very easy just to say to all your friends "rep me and i'll rep you back"?

Also you get those noobs that would negative rep you just because you said something they didn't like.

This would be good but you would need to set it up 1 of 2 ways.
Either set it up to where only staff could give or take away, so no user could go around ruining people who they don't like's rep.
Or two, make a system for every vouch and good trade/deed they do the get rep.
Also don't give privilages to certain people based on rep because other peopel will be upset and begin "unrepping" people.

We used to have a rep system before January 2006, but it was disabled. Don't remember why, but it's not really a big deal.

If it were enabled, it would be abused.

No the system works that the more posts you have and the more rep you have the more 'Rep power' you have meaning that if a noob came aroudn decided to neg rep. He'd only beable todo it once or twice. Then the marks would be disputed removed by a mod and the noob couldnt post anymore rep. Or he could be banned from the sytem.

Yes Wendy is kinda like ebay feedback system.

Here's an example of the system on another forums I'm a member of (Not runescape related or anything like that)

I think if it was set-up right it would be very hard for anyone that would have the intent to abuse the system, not to able able to. As in maybe Active or Addicts + could only have full acess to the sytem. Maybe even staff only and we could add a vouch form where you requested + or - rep and your reasons why. Of course this would require a new MOD or two to mange thouse forums.

But, doesn't this happen with Vouches also? I think if this became an offical sytem it would thin some of this self vouch/friend vouches.

Tomer, that wasn't flaming. I'd barely classify that as "funny". And Fagex is another runescape site, like Sythe here. But Sythe owns it. And their points are like..you get it for being good and active, and you buy stuff with it. Kind of neat.

Yeah for everyone that will rep people just because they feel like it, there will people racking up some negatives also.

But you could just like..put up a rule that if you do that, it's an infraction or somthing. That'd keep those douches from doing it.
