Luring Guide, works, 2 people.

Just for the books, I made this guide, not the idea.
I used to play Runescape... ALOT. I was too much of a bitch to make money myself so I scammed people with little tricks, that I guess is labeled with a more fancy word called luring.

Anyway, this works. And it works good.

INTRO: I had a buddy of mine through the game tell me he found a new way to get money out of people and that it requires barely anything except for a members account to do.
So, If you don't have members, than sorry your out of luck.

-You have to have completed or at least started the Death Plateau quest.

-During the Death plateau quest you need spiked boots which can be made at anytime after the quest is completed by giving the NPC, Dunstan, an Iron bar and a pair of boots. More info on spiked boots right -H'mere-
-Spiked boots are virtually worth nothing seeing as they are not used outside of the death plateau quest, and seeing as not very many people are educated who play runescape, not many people know what they are and what they're for. Let their ignorance be your guiding light.

-Make a bunch of spiked boots and keep them in your inventory. Head to a bank that is heavily populated such as a bank in Varrock on a crowded world.

-Stand your partner at one side of the bank and yourself at the other.

-You yell this constantly: Selling spiked boots [150k!]
Your partner yells this constantly: Buying spiked boots [350k!]
*You can change the price if you want, but the stoop-ed peephole are usually the ones without alot of money. Ive made 3mil in about 3 hrs from this but sometimes you wont make shit.

-Occasionally you get someone who has a thought click in their brain... 'WOW I can make 200k off this, if I buy from dat guy and sell to dat guy!!'
These are the people you want because they buy spiked boots for your price while your partner ignores them while they go to sell the boots to him.

WARNINGS:
-Some people suck at life and like to ruin your fun by continually yelling 'XXX is a scammer'. Simpily add them to your fancy little ignore list and switch worlds.

-Some people are nice or have no money and tell you this 'XXX is buying those boots over on the other side of the bank!' Ignore him and eventually he should go away.

-Some people get pissed off because they lost their entire fortune of 150k and will report you. Oh well, you might get a black mark, so sometimes after you get one or two people, log out and switch worlds.

Keep in mind, I did this about a year ago and some days barely any people fall for it, while other days alot of idiots fall for it. It might be outdated, but give it a try anyway.

Do it at your own risk, although there really isn't much of a risk.​

 

I like how you specifically picked out "spiked boots". Not too many newbie members know what they are.

old, ive seen it done with seers ring, or warrior ring. Then they went on crying and begging for their money back, last time i checked forums i think jagex is calling this one scamming?

 

I did the same scam with spinach rolls by messaging them. I made 600k in 2 hours lol

 

ive done this but with moonlight mead, even less people seem to know what that is.

I used to do the same thing, with a different item except, you and your friend both yell "Buying ect ect.."

Noobs thing they're getting a good price and buy the lowest one..

 

i've done that before, but used burnt bones.

Yeah, like I said, this used to work and the concept of the idea is simple.
People don't seem to understand the logic of... 'luring'.
But anyway, it works with any item that isn't well known but the best item that has worked for me is spiked boots, just seeing as they aren't very well known.
On free game, items I would suggest would be something that is used for an upper level quest and should be something that people might think has a sort of value just from seeing the name.
And crudesapphire, you got a sweet avvy too.
