Cannibal Corpse (No flame)

Does anyone actually like Cannibal corpse too?
If not I really don't want to hear you flaming them. You'll only be making a retard out of yourself infront of all.
But yeah my favorite song would be No Remorse.

 

I tried listening to them before. Not my cup of tea.

Weird too, cause I like deicide for some reason, but not corpse

 

Yeah I just like in most of their songs if you think about it are like great to mosh to. Like if you ever get a chance look at them live.

 

I love Cannibal Corpse. Especially when they had barnes as singer. The best songs must be I Cum Blood and Born in a casket for me.

 

Yeah I like Hammer Smashed Face too.

Why do people call it hardcore? Hardcore is a shitty music genre made for morons without musical talent. Unlike hardcore, death metal requires instrumental skills and virtuosity to be played. I can respect that many people don't like growling/grunting vocals, but please DO NOT classify it as hardcore.

 

Agreed, This requires more musical talent then any kind of pop-culture rap music there is. You don't have to be able to do anything for most music genres but death metal requires talent.

 

Not my style of music. . . I prefer it when the singing isnt screaming into a microphone, Children Of Bodom, Stratovarious, Nightwish, Sonata Arctica, bands like that, although some Pantera wouldn't go a stray >_>

also how exactly do the instuments in death metal take more skill than the ones in hardcore music?

Take a look for yourself. Look up some hardcore tabs and compare with death metal tabs. Notice how the death metal tabs consists in very technical and fast guitar-playing compared to hardcore that very often play the same riff over and over again? And the solos of death metal is another example

 

Meh I think Corpsegrinder is more fit for Cannibal Corpse than Chris Barnes.
I like Hammer Smashed Face, Fucked With A Knife, Meat Hook Sodomy, and I like their Vile DVD, greatest Cannibal Corpse footage I've ever seen.

 

I agree Corpsegrinder is just more energetic.

 

i understand that some are more complex, but it really matters the song, writer, and band when you think about it. sure maybe some songs play over and over again but those are the crappy ones, you've got to find the good ones which can be hard. and hardcore has many solos and breakdowns if you find a decent band(they usually arent popular so look up like every time i die, as i lay dying, escape the fate, and some others...)

 

It's a bit obvious to consider what you're comparing. Never try comparing hardcore to thrash metal (which is what Cannibal Corpse is). Hardcore is punk, a completely different genre. Try Cannibal Corpse on guitar then compare the "complexity" of emo punk to it. I've never heard any punk song that can reach the intense time signatures in Cannibal Corpse. Out of those bands you listed, I can only say As I Lay Dying is even worth listening to. But I'm afraid the solos in that genre are all lame, and those emo breakdowns make me laugh sometimes, they're just so simple and uncreative, it's like I'm hearing the same breakdown in every hardcore song.
None of those bands even touch Cannibal Corpse.
And 1227, I'm sure Barnes could've done circle headbanging that intense, but too bad he had a joint in his mouth every second of his life. Corpsegrinder is the epitome of headbanging, and the Cannibal Corpse lyrics are so evil and sadistic, I can't even believe he has a wife and kids.

 

Yeah and he is into MMORPGS...

I dont know what your guys are really talking about with corpsegrinder being soo much better when really he's done nothing more than go on from where chris barnes started. I would say chris barnes started what is cannibal corpse and then cropsegrinder has simply kept it going, only alot what i'd call "Gayer" No offence.

BTW Stripped, Raped and Strangled is the best Cannibal Corpse song.

 

uhhh i dunno really. his voice is just a bit to gutterall for me, cant really understand what he's singing. And thier lyrics throw me off them a little, like i know it's just the "gore" effect but Killing a Chick by fucking her with a Knife? yeah i think they just try a bit to hard. I prefer Bands like Bloodbath. Mikael Akerfeldt's Vocals are amazing.
