The official Windows vs Mac OS (X) vs Unix thread.

To the Mac, Photoshop is a game.

But even with photoshop, the filesize for photoshop for Mac is alot bigger then the filesize for photoshop for PC, /win again.

 

Windows is better in my opinion, i've got vista but i rather xp

 

Look at some of osX new features...

quickview alone is an awesome feature

as well as this i ponder, you say that apple copied off someone... Yet apple has had widgets for... a while... And now all of a sudden Microsoft comes out with the same stuff but different name...

And it ISNT the machine that runs the Windows... It is the operating system. While you have OSX Tiger or lower your machine cant run windows but once you get OSX Leopard you are supplied with the "Boot Camp" software...

and one more thing, Apple software will never legally be run on any computers except for a mac.

and you sir are wrong... as i said above boot camp enables you to run windows... And it IS due to programming and has NOTHING to do with the computers apart from that they must be compatible with the latest OS

 

tbh i think microsoft are definitely leading in the matter of o.p

windows xp is very easy to use though

 

never tried anything else than windows, so I can't really say. IMO windows 98 is kinda better than xp, but xp looks cool and is much easier than 98

 

Wrong. Windows runs natively on Macs via bootcamp. Parallels software allows you to run virtual machines, not the same thing. So, yes, Mac computers run Windows natively. It wasn't even a Mac dev who got it working, funny, the greatest thing about Macs is that they can run Windows now... So apple is saying it's good that their computers can run their greatest competitor's product. Mac users and Apple themselves have been bashing Windows for years. Now they want to use it?

 

Yea all those other OS developers suck especially BSD even though we took their subsystem and put it in our own OS they still suck because they cant match our pretty colors and uhhhhh photoshop oh and while browsing through my catruday folder

Windows wins overall, But i think in appearance Mac is better. Although Mac is getting better.

 

Erm, yes, so you'd be running Windows on a "Mac" eh... So lets see, you'd have a computer with a hard drive, processor, graphics card, etc., running Windows...

Why... What's the difference between that and a PC?

That doesn't really make a difference since Apple users could just do CTRL+click.

 

I love the white laptops from Mac, but I don't like their operating system. Especially how all the icons are at the bottom, it just bothers me.
So I proudly use Windows

 

Good. There are few of us.

 

Mac computers are designed really nice, but I don't like the operating system. I think it dumbs it down so much that it insults the intelligence of the user.
