[Tut]Glass Orb

1. Open new image 300 x 300px, white raster background, 72 res. Add new layer.
2. Set the background color to #808080. Get the preset shape tool set to eclipse retain style and create as vector UNchecked, all other settings default. Hold the shift key down and draw a circle in the center of your canvas.




3. Select all, float, defloat, contract by 6 then save to alpha channel (all under the Selections menu). Hit the delete key. Select none.




4. Apply the brightcenter_gfx inner bevel preset.
5. Add a new raster layer. Load the selection from the alpha channel then flood fill with the gradient gfx116-angle 0, repeat 0. Select none.



6. Add a new raster layer. Get the eclipse selection tool. Start at the top of the outer ring and draw a selection as shown below.



7. Invert the selection. Flood fill duotone dark blue gradient- angle 0 repeat 0. Select none.




8. Load the selection from alpha channel again. Invert the selection and hit delete.




9. Invert the selection again and give it a gaussian blur radius 2.50.
10. Add a new raster layer. Contract the selection by 20. Flood fill with the gradient gfx117.



11. Expand the selection by 20 and give it a gaussian blur radius 10.

And...you're done!
