    Forgetting to breath

So basically i forget to breath if i am doing heavy weights, which is extremely bad, since it causes me to becoming lightheaded.

Kinda notice recently since i have upped the weight a bit

Might sound a bit gay but meditation could probably help you with that. It helps focus on your breathing plus there are loads of other benefits so I'd recommend trying it out.

Timing your inhales and exhales is extremely important when doing resistance training, especially heavy resistance training. I suspect if you're literally forgetting to breathe, that you're not breathing properly even for lighter weights.

Its not just about breathing, you really gatta focus on keeping your core tight and stable as much as possible. If you can breathe while squeezing your core while lifting you are set. Search some exercises to help with this.

I used to have an issue with this too, but as liquid_mercury said, its all down to practice.
What helped me personally, was using light weight, but taking it really slow and really concentrating on breathing. Eventually, I started doing it while lifting heavy too.

    Forgetting to breath

Happens to me sometimes, but I never get lightheaded. I think it's because the times that I do hold my breath during some reps, It's just the last 1-2 reps that suck the life out of me. Other than that, I usually don't hold it in.

I think you should just think about it a little bit. Before doing a set remember to inhale and exhale with every rep you do.

I just sync my breathing with the push/pull and release of the weight.

    This and practice

Oh and there is the odd chance you might not be doing anything wrong and are just lifting waaay to heavy. Maybe test out with 90% of the weight and see if you keep having difficulties with breathing?

Meditation seems to help me a bit with breathing. I find it makes a noticeable difference

100% agree, this is your answer. Move to heavier weights only if you master to movement, the breathing, the posture, everything. Dont ego lift, youll end up by hurting yourself
