Buying around 400M for main

Hey guys.

I'm thinking about buying around $100 worth of RSGP for my main. Got scammed for my whole bank in like 2014 and I want to play again now but really cannot be arsed to rebuild everything myself and want a headstart. However I'm doubting between going through Jagex with bonds (which would net about 230-240M) or going the RWT route which would net about 420M. Obviously the RWT route is better bang for buck, however, I really really don't want to lose this account.

So I guess my question is:

How big is the chance to get banned for a transaction like this? And are there ways to minimize the risk as much as possible?

 

What broken man said. Pretty much 0 chance you get banned over such a small amount.

 

Alright sounds good, getting paid wednesday so will probably buy then. Was thinking about buying from rsgoldfund since they have some great prices and seem to be trusted here on Sythe aswell. Any objections to that?

Also, is there anything I could/should do to minimise the small risk? Was thinking about trading junk in return, but only got like 150k at the moment so don't think that would make any sense and be even more suspicious than just trading with nothing in return. But maybe there is something else that can be done?

 

This isn't really the place to review the quality of your potential goldseller. I'd recommend reviewing their vouch thread and shopping around to see if you can find better prices.

Putting junk in the trade window doesn't do anything, it's something that started years ago and people continue to do it out of superstition more than anything. As a gold buyer on a relatively old account, you have nothing to worry about as far as an RWT ban.

 

Wasn't really looking for opinions on the seller itself, just if that big of a seller was a bigger risk for a ban. But thanks anyways. Account is from 2006 so I guess I'll be safe.

 

I'm a pretty normal/average RS player and i would recommend using RWT over bonds. ive done it on maybe 5 occasions and ive never had any repercussions.

i've bought up to 500M with no problems so far if i'd still play i would buy bigger than than just to try buying is less of a issues then sellers to jagex i think.

 

If they do get suspicious, just tell Jagex you did a gold-sawp

 

100m has a VERY VERY minimal chance of Jagex even noticing the trade...I have traded over 10b+ in a day and luckily never banned on any of my mains nor on my alts...where you are concerned I am pretty sure it shouldn't be an issue...If u'd like to buy the 100m for a very good discounted rate feel free to pm me on sythe or simply add me on Skype and i'd be able to tell u my best offers at the time u wish to buy

The seller might get banned but not the buyer...

 

^ They usually ban sellers perm. But buyers get 2-3 days. Happened to Emily.

 

Dude dont even worry about a ban for rwting 100, its minimal. Especially when its rs3 its even more minimal. Ur fine.
