Immigration, is it a good thing?

Let be honest people. You really can't walk around in any city, especially major ones without seeing your collage of different types of perole/religions, Its a mosiac, basically. But there is a point to this. You should all post your opinions on if any country should tighten up immagration laws, If the way people are migrating over here continues they'll surely outnumber us.

This isn't to sound racist nor prejudist. Just an honest 16 year olds overvations from the last little while while travelling.

 

Immigration is quite complex, and there are many factors to why people migrate. For example, in Asia many migrate to Europe in search of better income in order to send money back to their families. Though, it can be a bad thing, because it can lower the dependancy ratio which puts economic pressure on the government to finance pensions. This is especially hard for a country with a struggling economy. It might disrupt the population growth (especially for those countries in stage 2 or 3) and all of a sudden a third generation country is in stage 4 which would take hundreds of years to reach otherwise. These are only a few examples of what immigration is percieved as.

the US is multicultural. there is no such thing as an actual american as you can be born australian or african american. all america is, is people from other countrys. the true americans would be the native americans, but they are looked down apon as indians that run ur 7-11. not being racist there, but theres alot of 'jokes' like that that i here. all the US is is imagrents.

The only true americans are the natives as Wo W 123 said, so dont look at your self as if the lands your living on is yours and has always bin, but instead remember that you´ve stolen it from the true americans.

 

In Britain, at least 10million of the population aren't British. 1million of that 10million are Polish, and the Polish, Pakistani, and Indian, mainly, do swarm.

However, seeing as the geographical population replacement rate is not steady, it could indeed be rather a good thing.

However, the government is splashing out millions for immigrants benefits, and such, which is unjustly deducted from the taxpayers money.

In many ways we are doing more favo(u)rs for them, than they do for us.
(Excluding the cheap labo(u)r they provide.)

 

its ok if they come with skills that can benifit the country but if they have no skills they shouldnt come because its a waste of tax payers money (like finn said)

 

Not all can benefit! Many are old and sick!
And even those who arent, especially the muslim womans with headscarfs have a really hard time getting jobs, even though they have an edgucated background.

Many run away from their own country and government because of how dangerous and badly they were treaten. For you to ask them what they can do for your country before letting them in is discusting.

Its like a person who´ve just got beaten up in the streets comes towards your car and asks if you can drive him to the hospital, and your response is
"Will you pay me for it" ?

Believe me all imigrants when moving to another and richer country, trully wants to work. They dont like sitting at home and getting the money, its a shame and dark cloud over their head. Most imigrants try getting jobs but simply because of their background they cannot!
And yet the governments set up recuirements for the poor imigrants, and many are send back home.

Its not like the government and people are giving you the opputunities, you must your self try reach out to difrent places and try get an job, which is completly fine, if only the people would hire you.
But regarding jobs nearly all prefare workers with the same background as their own than some one with a background from another country.

its the same thing, people are financialy hurt bad, and people like you turn them down because you dont htink they have any 'skillz'? shouldn't you be happy that they picked your country to try and live a better life in? if they cant mow ur lawn you turn them back?

its people like you that make people die of starvation. its people like you, that give a multicultural country a bad name, even tho the country is just as much theres as yours.

Immagration is fine, as long as the obey the law and they don't overtake the whole country.

 

Yeah and THESE people passed checks and had to WAIT THEIR TURN.

If people want to come here then they can do it the same way as all the other people who come here legally.

 

And ofcourse when some idiots in the imegrant croud does not obey the laws, all imigrants are looked at as criminals, and when ever such case hapends it is written in the papers and shown on the news, unlike when its one of their own.

Regarding the ovetake factor, I dont know where to start.. But I´ll just remind you about how many countries and people your country invaded and killed.

 

America is a country of immigrants, made of every race from ever country including yours so your people helped kill. Think of it like that. And yes immigration is great.

 

I wasent really talking about the problems created by america in the current ages, but rather 100-200 years ago and beyond.

Paying immigrants under minimum wage = Racism and against law,

Immigrants successfully fulfilling lives of an average American is what they expect, but sadly are refused alot of the time, Racism is powerful

 

As an imigrant from South Africa my family came to australia to have equal rights as a white person, To be safe and able to walk around the street without being pulled over by a buch of guys holding guns.

Now don't think life there was terrible. We lived in an enourmous house and I went to a very good school, I had plenty of friends there and my parents also had many friends and old friends there. They had good jobs and got payed well.

But they were mostly concerened about our futures and not theirs.

Here I am in australia In a very good school a smaller house very good friends but most of all i am safe and there is a future for me other than sweaping streets.

I feel if a family or Person is able to Immigrate to another country they should be allowed to, But you cant just go into another country and complety ignore their religions, Social doings and even their laws.

Respect their culture and you will be welcome.
