I'd choose Unix over Windows any day. Specifically OpenSuSe as it's my favourite distro.

Windows is best in my opinion, I' m using it since I started using computer. Windows is becoming more friendly everytime, when a new version of it shows up. Viruses aren't that big problem, if you know how to protect your OS.

But one thing I dislike about *nix is that pretty much everything you download is precompiled software - and you need to run gcc/c++ to compile, then install, then use it.

Oh btw it's been proven that XP/Vista run on Macs faster than OSX does.

Point b is a bit silly since OSX has a decent interface too, and is pretty user friendly.

I completely agree. People who tend to not know alot about computers go for macs. As do book writers? for some reason writers always use mac laptops, is it for security reasons regarding viruses?

HAHAHA thats BS about security. It's been proven countless times that macs CAN get viruses.
Thing is - no one pays attention to macs... who on earth would go for macs when windows has an ~85% marketshare?

Mac imo. I run OSX and love it. Looking forward to updating to leopard soon thought. I dont like windows and i think mac is more user friendly. Just my view. I think alot of people just use windows as its the most accessable.

Yeah, OSX is userfriendly, can't deny that PCs are hard to use but then again, I think that it shows that PC users generally have a better understanding of how computers/OSes work.

Personally, I have not actually used Linux personally, but seeing it, it looks just as good if not better then windows visually, it's just the support with software for it that's the problem, mac OSX is not even in the running, it was created with AppleCore, the driving force behind it.

AppleCore: The new design of computing that Apple created, revolutionizing the industry by creating a computer with absolutely no motherboard, hard drive, anything, by filling a strangely shaped box with apple cores, over the time it takes to transport it from China the apple cores rot, releasing a hallucinagenic gas that makes any users THINK they are using a computer, when they are really just staring at a black "screen".

Windows is just my choice because i'm a conformist and it's just easier, more convinient, etc.

I just thought I'd post about how I love that Apple goes and gives Windows Vista users shit because they had to upgrade their computer to use it, while the System Requirements for OS X Leopard are much the same as Vista.

I mean, how idiotic, what's their standing point on that? "Hey, with Apple, you don't even have to upgrade! You just buy a whole new (overpriced) computer instead!"

Not to mention that the whole PC v Mac thing is fucking stupid...
    "Hey I'm a PC!"
    "And I'm a Mac!"
"Hey Mac, what does PC stand for again?"
    "Umm, Personal Computer, I believe..."
"So you're not a personal computer? You're impersonal to the average user?"
    "Fuck you."

Not to mention the whole viewpoint that Apple is going for with Macs is that they're for the "Young, cool, fun laid-back generation"... Wow, can't get much more cool, fun and laid-back than playing a game eh...

Oops, can't do that on Mac!
