So has anyone been banned recently for BUYING RS gold lately? I'm scared my main will get banned if i trade from my old main (now my mule) to my current main

 

The chanche of getting banned with buying rs gold is like 0-1% chanche. Although it depends on the amount you buy, 0-100m is 0 risk for sure, 100-1b most likely no problems but if you buy insane amounts it gets risky.

Just buy, you won't get troubles.

 

just like gold247 mentioned rwt bans rarely occur when buying. Jagex would have to ban like 50% of Runescape players. Jagex mainly targets big sellers. You shouldnt worry too much. If I were you, I wouldnt put an extra mule in between the trades (if its on the same IP it wouldnt matter). And if its on a different IP its just more rwt trades.

 

Just don't trade massive China gold website and you will be fine! Ban rate for RWT is very low and they mainly only detect those who try to "hide" by using a VPN/VPS but if anything that makes you stick out more because it flags your account being on a different ISP and location and trading a lot.

 

Jagex doesn't care that much if you buy gold when it aren't insane amounts. You should be fine in general, but there are always a few exceptions.

It may as well be stickied that bans from purchasing gold are almost nonexistent. Jagex isn't shy about selling in-game advantages for real money, so of course they don't want to go after the consumers, it's the competition they have a problem with. After all, Rsgp wouldn't be such a huge market if there were heavy issues when it came to buying.

A VPN and a VPS are two very different things, not even in the same category. You are right in that IPs provided by VPN services are almost certainly flagged, but that's as a result of other people already having used them, most likely for botting. That's why you don't use a VPN, you use proxies (SOCKS, not HTTP), which are single private IPs that you route your client through.

 

I've bought and sold maybe 700m worth of 07 gold over the past year. Never received any bans. I think they are non existent unless doing huge quantities with shady buyers/sellers.

Or if you're hoarding large amounts to sell.

 

Only way you get banned is if you happen to be the one trading the person who just got cracked for selling bulk right before you
