Explanation of the trade: The name was sniped from me less than 24 hours ago, and Zarfot has now contacted me on Sythe PM, saying he bought the RSN 12 hours ago, literally right after my name was sniped. He has no proof of purchase.

How they scammed: High possibility that this name was sniped with his help, or by the guy himself. He is trying to sell me back the name for a "reduced" price because I made a forums post, telling people to be cautious when dealing with this RSN.

@Dunworry @JoshuaG @xkevvx Were all in Discord when this happened, and can confirm the name was sniped and is now being offered to me for even more profit. They can also confirm I am the original owner of this account, and the initial seller. (Potential Scammer = @Zarfot )

 

I am more than willing to drop all of this if the account is returned to me, and have no trouble pursuing this further if that doesn't happen.

 

I can confirm the name was sniped yesterday, as well as JoshuaG and kevv.

 

Only reason I offered it to you was because I saw the thread about it being sniped. I could potentially sell it for more, but if it was sniped i'd rather return it back to its owner. This was the 4th name i've bought ingame since release and i had no clue it was sniped.

 

Pm me for return then.

 

Ill wait for mods input. If they tell me to return it, ill rather lose out on w/e I paid for it rather than get banned.

I can confirm @RunecraftingAF was the original owner of rsn "Kb". I was in the process of buying this name and it was sniped.

So you were selling a name to zarfot. Name got sniped and trade didn't go through. 12 hours later zarfot told you he ended up buying the name?

 

No. I was selling a name to a different person. The name got sniped during that process, Zarfot says he bought the name moments later from whoever sniped it. He contacts me less than 24 hours later, asking me if I want to buy MY sniped name from HIM. He has offered to give it back if the mods deem it fit. I have proof of ownership, and proof of sale to the original buyer (not Zarfot). Zarfot also has no proof of purchase, he says someone randomly contacted him in game asking if he wanted to buy my RSN.

 

Unless he can show proof of purchase. I'm not believing his someone randomly contacted him in game asking if he wanted to buy the rsn.

Unless @Zarfot can show me proof of purchase. He will be required to either

1. Successfully return the name back to you (liability falls on him)
2. Pay you for the value it was being sold for

 

This is true. I contacted him because I saw the thread on forums about it being sniped. I've been buying names ingame due to release so I just assumed it was another person referred by someone. I didnt record anything cause I didnt think its necessary, this goes for all the names ive bought ingame so far.

You're saying he can just give me the level 3 account with the RSN on it, right? he doesnt have to transfer the name. Is that correct?
