I've been tweaking the colors on Press' undead girl a bit, I decided a dark and spooky girl should have a darker scheme- comment on which color scheme you like better!

Purple scars are better, but otherwise a very good improvement.

 

Black n White Gradient Map FTW? I like it other then the boots, cant the boots have a lil color. And maybe the armor just slightly. XD

A free sig I did for Halo2Ruler for being my first ever customer ^^
-Not the greatest, but I like to get CnC for all of my work

The sig work was done from scratch. I kinda wanted it to look like he was emerging from some kind of battle fog or something..
Tried to use lighting and filter fx to acheive some kind of "smog" look. :/

 

Tips:

1. Stay away from lens flares until you are very advanced with Photoshop. Usually they tend to be more of a hindrance to your works than an assistant.

2. Read this tutorial, or what is there about fonts/text. It's quite important.

3. A lot of photo filters (filter>artistic>[whatever]) are used when your looking to fill in empty space. It is generally a bad idea to ever use this filters on your render, or main focus. These should be used when your subject is placed on a blank surface, and your looking for a simplistic look, or something related.

4. Try to work with learning how to make shapes in photoshop. It's one of the most complex, important things you could ever learn. The next is lighting, but that is the most complex, and not an early goal to seek.

The text could be much better imcorporated into the sig then it is now IMHO.

that soft-lighted rectangles = not good.

My main problem with it would be the lighting on the focal anime chick, esspecially her shoulder pad, your lighting comes from the top right corner, so why is that lit up? when it should be shadowed :S
just a few picky things ;p

 

Yeh text could use some work Ima fan over overlay and outer glow for text but that didnt quit cut it. The lil rectangles are there and have no meening to it.

I put alot of the advice I've recieved from SMI, TDD, AND PRESS to work on this one- hopefully it turned out well.
He wanted a chick in black d hide with "revealing clothes" (but who doesn't right?)

Anyways I think Red's be a bit better if she didnt have such a strong tint of red.

 

but he's a "red" dwarf. Yeah I agree- but I couldn't get any other tint to look proper- so I stuck with it.

Use the gradient maps on Hue color Lighten ECT drop the opacities. Gives out comes like all the ones in my sigs, but they vary with the gradient maps.

2. I DON'T use paint for all of my work!!111!! For the last time.. I only used paint on the first few posts (The ones that look like they were done in paint..) All of the rest I've sketched by hand and colored in ps.
