Counter-Strike or Counter-Strike: Source?

Well, I don't see this written anywhere in this topic...

Which version of CS made by Valve do you prefer? CS 1.6 or CSS? You're not just judging the game by graphics, also by the gameplay (movement, damage, etc.) or if all your friends play one certain type of game, just anything that gets you into more of one game.

I personally like Counter-Strike 1.6 because I'm part of a clan there, most of my friends play that version, and because I think the gameplay is more realistic. Some of the guns look better too...but Source has very nice graphics. I have both though.

Source; First thing, I like games with good graphics, not shitty ones. Second, I like to max my FPS out, 100 isnt enough, and yes, you can feel the difference between 100 and 250. Third, and I was talking about this in another post, in real life, its impossible to kill someone by shooting them through a cement wall or a large wooden crate, some guys, maybe its possible for the crate, but not a cement wall. Also, I think the guns in Source look way better than 1.6.

 

Source I hate the feel of the 1.6 guns and the grenades look sketchy... 1.6 is fun though dont get me wrong but in that I can take an awper out with a mac 10 thats always fun.

 

Some of the things in Source, to me, I think look sort of too fake. But yeah, it has a lot of more better graphics and details. I still prefer 1.6.

 

None of them. I never liked any games by Valve.

 

I hate valve. The way they deal with cheaters is kinda stupid, Their client you have to use to open games, they ban ALL the good servers from all your steam games if you get banned. but they did add the quake series ;p to buy.

 

Oh really? I like Valve, CS ftw. Just, banning you from all the non-secure servers is sort of gay. Maybe they can warn you, then ban you or something.

1.6 hands down xD. Well thats my opinion because its a classic. Not too sure about source as i haven't played it - Yet. But looking at my friends', theres not much of a diff other than better graphics Please correct me if im wrong

 

CS 1.6 just owns source, you can change the graphics of cs 1.6 so theres no worrys but on css i just lag like hell, cs 1.6 way better.

Yeah go CS 1.6, but I play both anyway. For CSS, there's a lot of glitches and shit. Go on Youtube and search, CSS Box...the hit box is really messed.
