what is better? range mage or melee

I always wanted to know wht was better. every body says mage is the best. then evry body says range is best. then people say melee is the best. i just want 2 know your opinon of wht u think is better.

 

melee. 8 hits from a dds spec is deadly. plus now with GS people are able to hit 70+

mage defence combo.

Blitz maul combo owns aswell.

 

melee high lvl
magic low lvl pure ownage
ranged is fun but not so good without secondary weapon like r2h
(this is f2p) lol

 

if u have 99 range then u can hit about 25 with rune arrows but now with dark bow its like 37 and stuff
also hit very high with c'bow
mage max hit is 30 with ice barrage
melee is really good once u get high strength and stuff
with 78 str and super set i hit 24 24 with ddp++ spec (not max with superset and 78 str i dont think)
can hit in the 60s with godsword and dharoks
so i would have to say melee unless
mage or range is very high

 

sorry to lame but i think they all have strengths and weaknesses to them.
kinda how the game was made to be, so it kinda actually works. yeah new bits of kit gives one of them an edge for a while but only until they bring out a new kit for another of them and it all shifts again.

 

in members mage is better if u have ancients
in f2p melee is better
for really high levels range would be a nice option

 

Mage + Melee.

Mage ; Ancients + TeleBlock

Melee ; Hard hits. Dds is deadly.

Both = Do Ice barrage 3 times. Dds him. Go back and barrage then dds him =
