Party Hats - Are they really worth it? (santa ftw^^ btw)

I've seen quite a few threads now of people saying i'm going for a new goal of a party hat etc etc. But the hats themselves really worth the effort? Think of all the useful things you could buy with the money you'd have to spend to buy the hat. I had a look on a very good runescape database site to find out the average price of the most popular phat, the white one.

Average price: 325m - 350m!!

Now let's just make a random character to test what you could do with this cash.

Random characters stats:
Attack: 70
Strength: 85
Defence: 70

Range: 75
Mage: 85

Pretty average stats so let's see what you could do to this character with 325m!

You could:

Get 99 attack
Get 99 strength
Get 99 defence
Get 99 range
Get 99 Mage

Get 1625 whips
Over 1m+ Chao/Death Runes
Enough for 99 fletching, Fishing, Cooking (without fishing) and more!

There are so many things you could buy but i'm not going to list because i hope you've got the idea by now. So are phats really worth the time/effort?

And santa looks better anyway :wink:

 

Most people just want to merch them. If I had the choice I would just buy a shit load of pk supplies and buy myself 99 mage and range lol

 

Cash and buy a shitload of supplies and get up shitloads of skills. Whats some virtual paper hat going to help you with.

I would use as much money as necessary to make an amazing staker and/or pker.

Much better than a p hat. Plus I could probably make all the money back with it anyway.

Honestly, phats are pointless. I don't know why people wouldn't just buy a Halloween Mask or Santa Hat, they look just as sexy.

 

I wouldn't get either, wearable rares of any kind just show signs of wealth. Me, I just wear junk stuff so I'm not spammed.

Whats the point of buying paper hats for so expensive when u can make tons at home and paint them ? Lol

 

I would get neither and keep 325m, they are both useless, they have no stat difference or anything, so i would just keep the money and buy "usefull" items

 

1. Who cares about the average stats.

2. You can't get those 99 stats, as 300m would only get you bought stats =
Defence, Mage, Range, Pray etc. You get the idea

3. Getting Att/Strength + fishing (the ones mentioned) has nothing to do with having money ^^

4. Santa's are 20m, and they look good.

5. Some people think phats look better.

6. The majority of people do NOT buy phats for the appearance, they buy it because whenever anyone sees a phat they go crazy, like OMG HES RICH!!!!, Do you get that with a santa? No. And thus is why phats are bought.

7. Alternatively, Phats are the most rarest = That explains the price, and that would also explain why people buy them for investment.

 

Phats are not worth it.. Just piece of paper.. BuT they are good merchanting style

 

if you have cash u should go for it... only a sign of richness = more begging n44bs

 

I would buy a phat, coz i like them!
