What is fire?

How is fire made, created, where does it come from?
When something gets hot it turns into flame

My question:
What is fire, Is it a gas? What makes fire come? I know when i make something hot enough it creates a flame, but how?

 

Fire is energy, basically. When temperatures become high enough, organic material is broken down in a chemical reaction, releasing more energy, and perpetuating the cycle.

hmm.. fire. its a gas im sure, because with gasoline, its not the liquid that burns, its the fumes.
