[Food] Carl's Jr. - Breakfast Burger Review

Well, here we go! Royale-esque burgers are always so good, but will Carl's Jr. deliver?

Price Paid: $6.27 after tax for TWO double meat variety after coupon.




When you consider the fact that each burger was $3 with the coupon, I think it is a steal.

The first thing I did was bite into the hashbrown bite. Strong and salty hashbrown nugget - I'd buy these a la carte if I cared enough.

Then, it was time to bite into the burger. The bacon was not bad for being fast food, but I did notice a shortage in the amount of egg on the burger. Some bites tasted mostly like hashbrowns, but this could be avoided by eating the burger upside down. Using ketchup instead of mayo was alright until those last bites when you bite into a burger with a ton of ketchup. Other than that, this tasted like a huge bacon cheeseburger. And it was good!

Sometimes, I don't know if I like Carl's or hate it, but for a burger where the dominant flavors were bacon, cheese, and meat... it was good so I guess there's that.

Unfortunately, I never reviewed the ORIGINAL Brunch Burger at Jack in the Box (they have a different version now), but the original Brunch Burger was soooo goood, but I'll leave that for another day.

5/5 - flavors take turns coming out, but I don't see that as a flaw. Tasted like a bacon cheeseburger. Baconator-esque.

I prefer burritos to tacos actually from general homemade stuff.

Local place I go to has both and I've never tried the tacos because I'm generally in a rush to eat and get to where I'm headed for the day.

Maybe next time I have some time and I'm with friends I'll make sure to get tacos and let you know by crashing one of your review threads 8)

 

I'm the opposite.. I generally never get burritos but I guess that's because they are taco trucks usually and not burrito trucks... I'd 100% get Whole Foods' Mexican mini restaurant as a burrito though. (Amazing taco there... at a grocery store)

But yeah you need to try those gringo tacos.. like Torchy's Tacos (review coming soon )
