Having a hard time selling my account..

I have had a few people interested in my account but literally no one trusts me. I was looking for advice on how to gain the trust of this community because I have literally 0 interest in scamming anyone I just want to get rid of my account..

 

Hello Himea. the best you can do is do some services/sell gp/sell anything you can things that are small. but this wont help that much even if u get 30+ feedback. the fact you are not able to sell it is because you joined this community 4 days ago. best luck

 

The price/interest for accounts being sold by 'untrusted' members is so low because it's so trivially easy to recover an account. It's devastating to have an account you bought years ago and invested thousands of hours into recovered by someone who you can't do anything against because they've long since quit and no longer care about whether they get banned or not. Thus, accounts sold by trusted members who are currently engaging in trade activity on Sythe and thus would lose more from being banned from Sythe than they would gain from scamming are worth more.

If you want to get money from your account, try renting/loaning it out. I did a deal like that a couple years ago when I needed access to Prifddinas to develop a slayer bot, the owner of the account got 99 slayer, a couple boss pets, over 100m RS3, and some random skills leveled for free.

 

That is actually a great idea! I think I'll try to rent the account out. Should I charge for it or just let someone do what they want with it?

 

you can charge 1.5m per hour or 3m for 2 hours. but you also running the risk that the person that might barrow your account can do something else like botting it and you can finish losing your account in the process. the most easy accs to rent are maxed account as 99 att/def/str since is easy to set TOS for example you can set a TOS where the person that barrow your account must have the private always ON so you set like they can't move out of duel arena. and you can always check them. maxing accs take around 2-3 months

If you're content to wait, then don't try to sell the account just yet. I'd highly suggest trading casually and doing some services for money, donating $25 or so, and then trying to sell the account a few months down the road. This will get you a higher yield (especially if you afk some skills and get the total level up while waiting). It's tedious, but I have to say building up a reputation can come in handy down the road so it's well worth it.

EDIT: Plus you earn money from those services, so its a win win

 

The problem is I really do not like Runescape anymore so I have no interest in even logging in! But I would gladly donate to this site if it would help me sell my account. I honestly want to sell it because I was hacked and lost 100m+ and I have no interest in rebuilding.

 

donating helps, but your sunday join date doesn't. Maybe CSGO services, rocket league, anything. There are other games. You could also flip gold for like a 5% profit margin. Only a little cash, but will help with sales since people will like the good rates.

 

Could I give the account to someone trusted to sell for me and then split the profit?

 

very likely not. in that event, the trusted person would be liable should you decide to scam, meaning they would have to refund the buyer. Trusted users only cover liability if they know the person or are confident, so :\

Once again, it's because it's so trivial to recover an account. That's why I recommend the account lending plan I stated in my first post, since everyone knows what they're getting into when they lend/borrow an account. Of course, you have to worry about account sabotage, but you can take care of that by taking a deposit. In my case, I didn't have to do all those ridiculous elf quests and had access to all his gear to test with, saving me an immense amount of time, while the person loaning me the account had his account increase in value.

Also, I was able to see the TRUE ENDGAME of RS3, totally worth it
