    Botting question

Hi, I want to bot on one of my accounts that's like 7 years old on OSRS but I got banned on one account for botting around 2 years ago and was wondering if I'm being "watched" by jagex somehow and have a higher banrate and should use a proxy to bot if that makes a difference. Also, how's the banrate atm? 2 years ago the banrate was really high so I'm wondering whether it's still that high or not. Thanks

In my opinion, no. You should be good. If you're worried, look into getting a proxy to bot on.

Been banned on 3 accounts recently, thinking its due to not using a proxy.

Definitely due to not using a proxy. You should invest in a pack, they are worth it.

    Botting question

Seems to be some confusion in this thread.
Proxies do nothing inherently to lower your ban rate. It's not like Jagex sees an account on a proxy and thinks "Oh, he's using a proxy, probably not a bot!"

Proxies are used to split your bots over multiple IP addresses, to reduce the risk of a chain ban (getting multiple accounts banned for being on the same IP address).

If your last ban was years ago, then your IP should be just fine to bot on. IMO IPs don't stay 'flagged' for very long after a ban.
If your 7 year old account has already logged into your home IP, then there's no use to use it on a proxy now.

Just bot on it on your home IP and be as safe as you can about it.
Remember anytime you bot an account, you risk a ban.

    Good luck.

You never know how much chance you have to get banned. Depends on the time , the place u are and the mods.
