    Decapitated Mage Training Guide

Ok, so I have many different ways of getting mage exp as well as sometimes making some extra cash so I'm gonna share them with you guys, just let me know wat you think. BTW, this guide is membs only although i guess you could apply the methods in f2p

    Method 1- Fire Strike
    Reqs: 13 mage

All right, so this is a method for the mostly low level mages. I even still use this sometimes if i'm low on cash. Get a few thousand fire strikes and head over to tzaar. Attack the lvl 149's and the 133 melee guys while hiding behind the vents. For every few thousand strikes you use, you usually get at least one drop. use the money from the drops to buy more. I used this way on my mage pure from 13-70 mage, and made about 3 mil profit from the drops afetr buyin the drops.

    Method 2- Curse
    Reqs:19 mage

Once again, this is a method for the lower lvl and low on cash people. I would reccomend going to tzaar once again. put on some armour that lowers your mage bonus as much as possible. Then, cast curse on the monsters being attacked. You get the same amount of exp if it hits or not, so with the low mage bonus, you can sometimes cast many times before having to attack another monster. If you are just low mage but have lots of cash, I would reccomend using a mud staff to save on the water and earth runes.

    Method 4- Ice Burst TZAAR
    Reqs:70 mage

Vid of sum1 usin this method:

This is my personal Favorite but requires some cash to start with. Go to tzaar with a few thousand ice burst strikes and some low lvl arrows or knives. Go somewhere with few people and shoot a low lvl arrow (or knife) at the monsters around you till you have around 4 or 5 surrounding you. If need to you can use melee protect so you dont get hit. Now, switch to a staff if you want, and cast ice burst on the middle monster so that all of them get hit. Not only do you get massive exp, but from my experiance, the runes usually pay for themselves as well as a bit of a profit.

    Method 5- Ice Burst PC
    Reqs:70 mage

This one is fairly self explatinory, but requires quite a bit of cash. Just go to PC and cast ice burst on large groups of monsters. You get that exp plus some cash to help buy some more casts and the points to buy mage exp with. However, unless you are 100+, using melee in PC then using the points on mage is not practical anymore, since the mage exp given from the points was lowered in the update. However, it is up to you.

    Method 6- Ice burst POH
    Reqs: 70 mage and friends

This is a well known way but requires some friends. it is the same concept as the barricades in c wars but it requires a few friends. Go to either your house or someone elses house with a fighting ring and have them stand in a sqaure. cast on the middle person. the great thing about this is you dont have to worry about running outa time in c wars, u just cast away until you run outa runes.this is also very expensive however, but if you got the cash, why not?

    Method 7- High Alching
    Reqs: 55 mage

This is probably the most widely used way of training mage in rs2. Usually people use yew longs to high alch, but Im sure there are other things that you could alch that wouldn't waste your alchs. If you made all of the supplies for the bows you could also turn a nice profit If you wanted. if you buy all the supplies, this way can also be rather expensive, but not quite as expensive as the other ways. A good way to pass the time while alchign is to farm high lvl farming patches while you alch so you in effect kill 2 birds with 1 stone. If your too lazy to actually click, there are many auto alchers out there availabe to use.

    Method 8- Teleporting
    Reqs:25 mage.

So this one is fairly self explantiory. You just teleport over and over for exp. There are many auto clickers for this, and many find this the easiest way to go. However, this can be either very expensive, or very time consuming if you run your own laws. I would reccomend using a air staff and teleing cammy.

    Method 10- Quests
This one is easy. Do quests that give you mage exp. Here is a list of quests you can do:

    A Fairytale pt 1- Growing Pains ~1k mage exp~
A Fairytale pt 2- Cure a queen ~2.5k ep if you use lamp on magic~
A Tail of Two Cats ~up to 5k exp if you use both lamps on mage~
Contact! ~up to 14k exp if wishes used on mage~
Darkness of Hallowvale ~up to 6k exp if used on mage~
    Desert Treasure ~20k exp~
Dream Mentor ~10k exp +15k more exp if used on mage~
    Enakhras Lament ~7k exp~
Horror from the Deep ~4.662k exp~
Kings Randsom ~5k exp +5k more if used on mage~
    Lunar Diplomacy ~5k exp~
One Small Favour ~up to 20k exp if used on mage~
Recipe fore Disastor ~2.5k exp (lumbridge guide)~
Shadow of the Storm ~10k exp if used on mage~
Spirits of the Elid ~1k exp~
    Swan Song ~15k exp~
The Eyes of Glouphrie ~12k exp~
The Fremmenik Isles ~up to 20k exp if used on mage~
    The Giant Dwarf ~1.5k exp~
    The Grand Tree ~2.15k exp~
    Watch Tower ~15.25k exp~

Although some of these are more worthwhile than others, if you are a pure mage, all the exp you can get is an advantage.

Thats a really interesting guide. I also liked your pure creating guide.
The Tzhaar Bursting technique is quite new to me. And interesting.
I am going to test this pretty soon.
