Sythe Rule Reform -- which rules do you want gone?

I'd rather both be 1 month but I was assuming that wouldn't happen.

Just poke sythe or wait for him to see this, I assume he doesn't intend for somebody saying a facebook on sythe to be a 6 month punishment(but he might, idk).

I'd be okay with both being 1 months though, or lower.

 

Good to hear about the off-site activities rule. I hate that I can't even post on other forums anymore even if I'm not explicitly doing something against the rules because I know people like Yousuckv2 will just quote me out of context.

If anyone wants to try to get me banned for this post, don't bother, I'm already pardoned for anything you'd find from 4 years ago anyway.

 

Please can we remove the "No free bumping" rule. I feel that this rule should be gone because why aren't other users allowed to bump other user's threads when people can create new accounts and bump their own threads. This defeats the whole point of bumping and should be removed as fast as possible.

 

Rules regarding gold companies and their employees. Just because some fuckers were double dipping doesn't mean we all do. I'm never allowed to make a thread buying/selling gold even if I just raped a kid for 500m in the DA. I an no longer sell under my own terms or set a price. It's complete bullshit and assinine rule. Just ban people who double dip simple as that.

Hypothetically speaking what if we instituted a limit say one independent sales thread per employee per month?

 

i still stand by my statement that if you work for a goldshop, you're not allowed to have your own website. you must only use skype/discord. Those workers tend to not have much reputation, so even if they did trey to abuse this, they might only get a few extra sales per day. That, and they need to be on all the time and be available to sell all the time, rather than just during their allotted livechat shift. I think the extra hassle and minimal amount of extra sales that could be gained from abusing this are simply not worth it. That and it's pretty obvious if a few new shops go up and they all happen to be workers of the same company.

i think the rule i proposed is a solid middleground. it's a clear blanket rule that doesn't require much, if at all, micromanagement.

 

Ok tell me this then. RSCBUMPBOT is an account specifically dedicated for RS Crown to bump his own threads. If you want to pay people $1 to keep bumping your thread then thats YOUR choice. RSCBUMPBOT was created in October 2016 and your telling me that he is at risk for being banned for self interaction and yet he's still around. You cannot tell me you haven't realised that yet.

 

These bump bots are still regulated by the 8 hour bump limit, and are reprimand for exceeding this limit.

If anyone can bump someone else's thread, then enforcement of the 8 hour bump timer becomes exponentially harder to enforce.

On top of that, allowing people to bump threads for another person will ultimately result in users bumping threads at random in order to farm post count, resulting in unnecessary spam throughout the forum.

I do not forsee this rule being changed any time in the near future, if ever.

 

But if I was to say to someone on Skype to "bump my thread" to get it to the top, I don't understand what is so bad about it. The intention is NOT to get the post count to the top but rather to increase the number of Sythe users to click my thread. You are unable to understand the intention unless it is admitted on either Discord or on Skype.

Using a bot to bump a thread every 8 hours and getting a Sythe user to bump threads every 8 hours is exactly the same thing. I see no difference between using a bump bot to bump my threads and/or asking users to bump my thread as long as I am within my 8 hour limit.

Equally you could see these bots as farming post count. RSCBumpbot was formed in October 2016 and within 3 months he has achieved a post count of well over 3.2K.

Either remove the bots for bumping threads or remove the free bumping rule. Its not fair for bots to be bumping threads and users are not allowed to bump other people's threads.

I have never bumped someone's thread that hasn't been bumped within 8 hours and I still get infracted for it which is unfair.

 

I'm not post farming I do not care about the post count of sythe gold, wipe it from my bumping account if an admin wants. RSCBUMPBOT is me, I use that account because I didnt want to use my personal account details on a program IHQ made lol.

 

Yeah so if you can use an account to bump your own threads then why aren't other people allowed to bump other user's threads as long as they are following the 8 hour limit.

Thank you. I was just using you as an example though. Like fair enough you may not use it for post count but equally I was suggesting that members can classify bumping for other people as helping them rather than doing it for post count.
