Legalization of Marijuana.

Its legalization is inevitable. There's going to be negative PR and all that when the first legal marijuana OUI occurs. It's not much different than alcohol, and both of them are significantly different than, say, heroine or meth.

 

That's so stupid it is illegal. Even alcohol is more addictive than heroin,this is a fact..

 

Many die hard conservatives out there. Don't see it being legalized on a Federal level for quite some time. Let's face it, no President will want the criticism that will go along with it. It's something that will later hurt their chances of running for re-election, same for senators, congressmen, etc.

Personally, I don't give a sh#@ weather it's legalized or not. Just want to live my life and let others live theirs.

 

It should be legalized because the government should have no say what a consenting adult puts into their body. Not to mention the medicinal benefits. My only problem is that with legalization it opens it up to being taxed and regulated by the government. I'd like to keep their hands out of my pocket as much as possible. You have to realize, every tax dollar you give to them they use for whatever the current budget calls for. The current budget calls for war and subsidization, two things which are completely unjust.

Somewhere between legal and decriminalized where the government can't stick their hands. Competition with less of the violence that is used as a tool in the Black Market. Why have a war on something that will never disappear and is merely a choice?

That goes to say with more readily available there needs to be proper education that is not clouded by propaganda.

I have no doubt that heroin will never disappear, but we can surely reduce how available it is to Joe Everyman.

I'm against it. Other legal drugs already create too much issues to society.

 

I am for it to be legalized. I do a good amount of drugs and weed helps me at least calm down and ease up when I need to be chilled, haven't seen a problem for it in the years that I've smoked it but millions of people die yearly from tobacco and that shits legal. US government = moneymoneymoney

 

Man, I totally agree. We totally need to ban Tylenol/Paracetamol/acetaminophen, it causes a lot of liver damage. Actually, while we're at it, alcohol creates much more damage! Tobacco too! Let's ban anything that has any detrimental effect on people at all!

 

I have seen first hand the good it can do when being used to treat pain caused by diabetic nerve damage. People can hate the substance all they want but I believe it does have some legitimate medical uses.

 

What issue does marijuana cause? You don't think spending tax money to arrest millions of otherwise law abiding people is an issue?

Don't forget caffeine we don't want people to overdose on it.

When it's legal don't for one minute think the gov't will be selling you the nice stuff you smoke today . It will be genetically modified Crap that will probably warp your mind .

Personally I'm for legalization and think it's great, but I think as with all controlled substances, there needs to be an age minimum. Even though that doesn't really stop anything. OP asked for a reason, I supplied one, "The Children".

 

It should be legal for adults. It's less harmful than alcohol or tobacco. The reason I say for adults is because a child and teenagers brain is still developing, and foriegn psychoactive substances may cause problems with the natural growing process.
