question about paypal

I don't know where else to put this, basically I turned 18 a few months back and want to start using paypal for legitimate things and get a business paypal. I'm wondering if I should call them or email saying I didn't know it was against the rules to have a paypal under the age of 18 (I didn't) and if im still able to use there services or not? The reason I would need to tell them is because getting a business account requires me giving them info and I don't want to see and be like you just turned 18 but had an account for 3 years now?

 

Definitely get them on the phone and try to chum it up with the person, though most of paypals service staff is in india- they're super nice people.

 

I personally would start a new account from scratch. If you give them your real info, and for whatever reason they choose to ban you from PayPal, you won't be able to make another account using your real info.

 

Just close your current one and create a new one. Once there is a little bit of activity they will limit your PP until you show proof of age, as well as identity/address. You don't want that messed up

 

Def create a new account. Get good activity on it and show proof of identity, and you'll be straight

 

@strawsombrero I recommend calling them and telling them to completely close your account. Make a new account and fully verify yourself the next ACH cycle.

 

Thanks for the help guys, I called them a while back and told him everything that i've had it since I was like 14-15, and he said its fine now that your 18 and I can continue to use it.
