Well, guitar pro is an amazing piece of software, that you can use to practice new songs, improve them, or make your own, including drums and bass.
You can pick between different kinds of types of guitars (not brands) and make your own song.

I use guitar pro 5.2 since yesterday, I had guitar pro 5.0 but 5.2 is alot better. Of course I downloaded them illegaly, but that doesn't matter to me.

Who else uses guitar pro and think it's amazing software??

Indeed i do. I use it to write most songs for my band before we rehearse them.

I use it to learn songs, but not writing them. I have to agree it is very useful.

I used to use it, but I find the official tabs more useful usually. I only really use it anymore if I can't find the official tabs, or if I can't figure out the exact timing of something; I also write stuff on it from time to time, especially if I want to write it in tab and have it come out in sheet music.

I do. It kinda helps me learn, cause I just started playing guitar like a month ago, got an electric and bass.
    I play bass more though.

hehe, I found out yesterday that you can pick different kinds of pedals too!!
The size of the .GP3 .GP4 or .GP5 files (a.k.a. guitar pro songs) are only ~50kb, so when ur a bit out of memory (which will not be the problem for me), you don't have to worry about getting new songs

GP5 is a lot better than 4 (or anything bellow that), Ermky, you should try it. The interface is a lot nicer, and it sounds more like real instruments instead of just MIDI.

Oh yes, i remember! The instruments sounded like it was MIDI which it probably was. Didn't sound like a guitar at all. That's one of the reasons why i removed it from my computer :p.

Gonna download the latest version now.
