Subliminal Messages

Hi. You've all probably heard of subliminal messages in TV ads, songs and stuff. What is your opinion on those? Do you think they are made on purpose, or maybe "the Devil" has put his hands on some?(Led Zeppelin - Stairway To Heaven subliminal message,etc)

Okay, I don't think they REALLY exist, and some satanic force or whatever is controlling it. Maybbe the makers of the product or whatever did it on purpose? The Led Zeppelin is a common one, and I think it was made on purpose a bit, the lyrics are quite strange, sort of some random phrases, so yeah...I think it's all a maybe psychological thing, for example, you hear what you WANT TO hear, these words.

IT does do it with some ssongs, but I dont think it was on purpose... Also even in most religion the devil can only sway peoples decisions so we would still have to do it... DEVIL has no powers.

 

what are subliminal messages are supposed to even be about. they should only affect people with no brains....haha

 

that Led Zeppelin "subliminal message" is atrocious, when we all know that isn't true. Most likely a problem when being recorded.

 

It's not even a a problem from when it was being recorded. If you take any song and play it backwards, you can probably find something that vaguely resembles "Satan" if you're looking hard enough.

No, i've tried with many songs and never heard something that is at least little similar to English. And in the Stairway To Heaven song you can hear it kinda clearly.

 

Heh, it's too far of a stretch. If it didn't have the words in the video, I doubt I would've come up with a remotely similar interpretation.

lol... the 'C' was the first thing I noticed, it's just an imagery thing. Not really subliminal...

But anyways, I do think some advertisers purposefully attempt subliminal messaging, especially if it portrays a message they aren't allowed to deliver by regular means (such as sexual things). But those images in Disney movies are probably just the result of grown men getting bored making stupid children movies (don't get me wrong, I'm a Disney fan )

 

Tbh subliminal messages are really cool. But if used in the wrong way could be preety dangerous.

 

Subliminal advertising is real, obviously we can already see that. The real question is how much does it actually affect our thoughts or decisions in something. The answer is not much, and usually, it doesn't sway us at all. Some minds are more susceptible to it than others, but most wouldn't get affected by it at all.

Secondly, the songs by Zed Zeppelin, that is honestly in my eyes, a coincidence. Although I will say it is strange how some words are emphasized in an abnormal order. That could easily just be the quality of the recording or like I said above, just a coincidence.

There's been many other things, such as a song from a Nintendo DS game, one that allowed you to spin a record back and forth, some found spinning it backwards at high speeds they found things pertaining to Satan. Any hows, like Cruel said, if they didn't post the backwards lyrics along with not telling me what to listen for. I guarantee you I could of listened to it 100 times and still wouldn't of came out with anything even half as similar to the lyrics they came out with.

Like one other said, if you are trying to find it so hard, you can also shape things into what you want to hear, rather than what is really there.

Last but not least, playing things backwards especially at high speeds can produce a HUGE array of different tones, and it doesn't take many to create words like Satan or Devil.

 

In the song led zeppelin its lyrics says, you know sometimes words have two meanings, what it makes it more creapy =o
