Attempted scam - watch out for "Zufall"

He first approached me asking for a good rate on ~1b gold, I sad that's fine as long as you pay for the middle man, he suggested one that wasn't official, he proceed to tell me the margins weren't good enough with a middle man fee, I told him if he paid .19 it would be .20 over all after the middleman was paid for so there would be no difference, he then proceeded to tell me he didn't know I was selling when in his previous messages he made it very clear he did.. I'm not expecting drastic action to be taken since we never actually traded but people should definitely be informed of this.. here is our conversation.

I would also like to point out he DEFINITELY knew I was selling because he made a post on my selling 6.1b thread... Selling 6.1b rs3 .20/m btc prefered

 

The pm I got didn't mention if it was for buying or selling, being a trader I deal with a lot of people can't really remember all. I even messaged Hahanerd when I thought he was a buyer for a second. Lmao grow up kid

It's clear there was confusion from the start regardless if he posted on your thread. His first msg to you was, "[...] lemme check hm stock I have rn lol"

Because he posted on my gold sellin gthread "If you have any space to move on the price hit me up I can take around 2bish" he clearly knew I was selling hes just covering for himself lol

 

How is this an attempted scam though?

 

He wanted to me to use a non official middle man that was most likely his friend to take my gold and play it off so he could get away Scott free obviously.. only reason I see why he would avoid paying for OMM when I discounted the gold enough to compensate for what he would be losing. as soon as I couldn't use his particular middle man he decided he didn't know I was selling... if you read everything you will clearly see he was aware I was selling.

 

I'll get a 2nd opinion for TWC but I don't think it's necessary. Will update when I get a response.

 

I'm not really expecting action to be taken like I said I just figured I'd let people know because it appears he targets newer members for big snipes like this with his middleman friend that's how he makes his gold..

 

Well the point of TWC is to help safeguard uninformed/new users (well, everyone really) so it was worth a shot to get a second opinion on the situation.

However, we won't be TWCing him based on the fact the trade seems to be a misunderstanding & we don't require users to use OMMs.
