High level PK'ers?

Hey, I've noticed lately that everyone going pk'ing these days are between 40 combat and about 80. Mostly pures, Initates and Rune Purers. Why is this?

I, personally, am about a quater of the way through making my high level pk'er (80+ strength and attack, 70 defence) and I'm just wondering if it's a bad idea.

Also, what level prayer do you suggest, 52 for the stock standard or go for 60-70 when I get 70 defence?

 

If you wana be a pure it's mainly for fun, waste bout 100k in pots and food then pk a 45k dds.
High lvl pking is where the cash is with barrows and stuff.
You will need high stre and all the best gear, torso, cape, barrow gloves etc.
Try 52 prayer then go to 70 when your defence is 70 attack 80 and stre 90

 

hehe, i find the fun part of PK'ing is the loot, and thanks for the advice. I'm also making a high level pure 'cause I sold my main awhile back and miss KQ'ing, Barrows and a myriad of other activities which you can't do without a reasonable defence level.

 

70 attack 90 defence 70 strength 99 mage 99 range 52 prayer is what i would call a good high level pker.

 

Whilst that would be good, it'd be far too slow getting 99 strength when my max hit with a whip would only be like 20 o.0

For now, I'm going to be focusing on training attack and strength to 70 (A week or so worth of training now that exams are over, WOOT) through slayer. After that I'll decide on what I want to do.

 

I'm making a high-leveled character as well, although I'm far behind you. You should get Piety right now as it's very useful during combat with another person/monster.

 

high lvl pkers are common because the drops are good, better than minds and stuff

Well On one hand I like high lvl Pker's i think your technique needs to be perfect. This is becasue if your up against somebody with relatively high def u need to time when to use your dds spec with your whip. Gd stats for high lvl I would say are:
70 att, 80+ str, 70 def, 52-70 Pray, 82-94 Mage and a Solid 70 range. This is my favourite method as you can use all your CB skills to K0. So maybe Blitz/Barrage with X-bow and a quick dds spec to finish them. Hope it helped in any way =-D

 

perhaps 52 prayer is best if u decide to use protection.otherwise,if you decide to raise pray to 25,its a bad idea you will get owned

 

lol yeah it is best to keep your prayer at 52.DONT EVEN waste you combat lvl by raising prayer level to 25 just to protect items.that thinking is for newbies only.well good luck at pking
