    Where is the bot development?

The title of the thread to me is hopping to invoke some discussion on the development of the different bots out there and why they may not develop further.

I've been using bots for years now just as a kind of hobby to see what type of accounts I can bot up and to get myself a few levels here and there. I've never really tried to set up a bot farm or bot for profit. I'm not fluent in scripting or java or anything like that I only use what is given to me and what's out there paid for or not.

Apart from bots being updated when RuneScape updates, why are they not really further developed to be more undetectable on a more frequent basis? Is this a limit to what the coding is able to achieve or do the bot creators just get to a point where they feel satisfied with the $$$ they make and see no need to develop further?

Since the start of OSRS TRiBot has been my number one choice when it comes to botting. At first I thought it was the greatest client out there, but then as you expect Jagex step up there game for bot detection and you get an appearance that the client isn't that great. But then developments like ABC10, human mouse data, ABC2 and looking glass put the bot right back up their. But since these updates were developed into TRiBot nothing has been worked on or ground breaking in the area of botting. The only thing that kind of changes things up, is when a scripter rewrites their script. Now I don't want it to look like I'm bashing on TRiBot, I'm still VIP+ and use numerous scripts premium/non-premium. It's just that TRiBot is the client I have most use with.

I also use OSBot and to me they're in a similar situation. They've got to a point where there happy and nothing further needs to be done. Again similar developments mirror client etc.

Then there is Rid, the bot with promises of grandeur and what not, but how many years has it been now since genesis was planned. Its got big visions but yet to see the fruits of its endeavours.

Is there really no way for bot clients to advance and change or have an impact on the current state of botting?

The way I see it is similar to a war and an army. Take tribot as one army and jagex as another army. Why should tribot keep building up forces in what area, then jagex attacks in another area. Instead when jagex attacks, it may takes a few days, but then they know where the problem is and can move people there. Although I see your point of why don't they keep building up the code, but I don't think they know what to do until jagex makes the first move. Then they can block it.

I'm curious about RID Genesis myself, its been literally like what, 5 years?
An ungodly amount of time, it seems like once a year I think to myself
    "What happened with that?"
Only to find that there isn't anything new about RID.
I gotta be honest, I got sold, and I feel as if this bot is a pipe dream at this point.
