First of all, you didn't answer my question about referring to the obese as "subhuman". Moving on...

Obesity generates a lot of healthcare expenses, yes. Guess what else does? Living an extra 20 years and potentially being saddled with dementia, cancer, assisted living, etc. Those studies only looked at the healthcare costs of the obese, but never compared them to other groups - say, the normal healthy population, or smokers.

Lifetime Medical Costs of Obesity: Prevention No Cure for Increasing Health Expenditure

Now, since that seems to be the biggest source of your discontent (and oddly, anger), surely you've changed your mind?

Smokers who have children are more likely to smoke. Same goes for the children of Christians, alcoholics, people with psychological issues, people who are skinny but not physically active, people with low IQ scores, etc. Pretty much anything a parent does influences their child - but where's your outrage against those parents?

They have great influence? How do you quantify that? What measures of influence are you using?

Statistically they're not normal, in that they're in the minority of the world's population, but I don't see any reason to consider them subhuman.

The world is full of bad influences. If you're a parent, it's your job to teach your kids to not let society dictate what they should do. If you can't do that, maybe having kids isn't a great idea.

The purpose of this forum is for discussion about touchy subjects, it's a good way to get insight on something you may think you know everything about, but then you soon realize you don't know as much as you thought. It's a good way to educate yourself about what's going on around the world socially, politically, and culturally. No one in this forum is "moaning about nonsense", rather we're discussing touchy topics. Thanks.

No matter how much parenting you do, the media will always have a large influence on your children.

You can't solely rely on the parents to raise their kids to grow up to be perfect. There will always be outside influence that will either bring their children up or bring them down, such as friends, teachers, culture and media. Take this for example:

You have Child 1, Child 2 and Child 3, all from the same parents. Children 1 and 2 are absolutely perfect; they do all of their homework, they're respectful towards adults and peers, and are just very bright in general. However, Child 3 is an absolute mess. He's arrogant, hateful, dishonest and disrespectful. He doesn't recognize his own problems, and even if he did, he'd just ignore them.

Now, is it the parents fault for the way that child 3 turned out? Probably not, considering how well Children 1 and 2 turned out to be. Sometimes the problems someone has is because them and not because of anyone else; it's just the way they are.

Yes, it will. It's still the parents job to raise their children properly. If you don't approve of what they watch on TV, take away the TV.

Is it their fault? No. Is it their responsibility? Yes, barring some genetic disorder that makes them a sociopath.

When a guy is fat it doesn't matter. When a women is it drastically reduces her attractiveness.

In my experience, women are humans with preferences, so it absolutely matters if a guy is fat. Weird, it's like we're all members of the same species with different preferences!

I think it needs to be stopped because you're more susceptible to dying early for MANY MANY different reasons.
I would rather there be a health movement.

I'm not saying shame and hate fat people.
I'm saying encourage everyone to be as healthy as they can be, to live as long as they can.

Edit: Thanks for liking Shredderbeam, I literally got a warning for posting this :/

I believe it's great for somebody to be confident in themselves, yes.
Although showing off, bloating and being proud of an unhealthy factor is 100% wrong, if you love your body, embrace it. yes. Work on improving it, see improvements, show them off.

I don't really mind, just never forget to appreciate some things in life.
Everyone has a fetish or can't really describe it, if they think it's alright then just leave them.
No need to always put a stop at some things, can't really describe it in English, let me try.
"Leave people in their values". 100% sure that was wrong and misspelled, hope you'll understand what I mean.
