this rule has existed for along time, durial didn't even know the sticky had vanished, so when i mentioned it, he made it again. Tell me, how does giving away or selling some peices of GFX make you trustworthy in a runescape trade?

Because more often then not, the people just give away or "trade" gfx for vouches.

We need vouches because if a person have many vouches, it can indicate to everyone that this person is trusted. Also for pure GFX salesmen like me, there won't be a way to gain vouches because that's all I do is sell GFXs

Well, the fact of the matter is, you cant do it, its a rule, if you really want vouches that bad, get the money you get from the piece of art, and make a trade of some sort in the black market or market forum, if you trade well there, you can still get vouches, and what you need from gfx.

It's more of a central thing. Having gfx voches doesn't mean your trustworthy. Anyone can just make some piece of art, sell it, and get a vouch, but that doesn't mean their trustworthy. On the other hand, if someone is real popular in gfx and have done many transaction for Runescape gold or USD for their art work then they could be trustworthy. Trust shouldn't only be based on gfx vouches.

oh yes, vouches gets you more business, because no-one gives a crap about the quality of the work, it's all about the vouches. Your logic is idiocy.

Lol TDD is right. What will be the purpose of getting more business if you artwork looks like a 3 year old did it. Vouches have nothing to do with getting more business because if your artwork is that good then it should draw in business itself. Vouches on the other hand will show people that you sold this piece of art to this person and the trade went smooth, that means you are someone trustworthy in selling signatures.

It's like getting vouches for doing like tutorial island, you can't scam, but saying you have 30 vouches of them, is bullshit then you can go around saying you got mass lulz of vouches, then scam someone because they think crap vouches like that means somthing.

TDD, calm down, jeez. That's not my logic anyway, my logic is that vouches show you have good quality pieces and people like your work.

Say your vouch is "Very, very nice orb" then that would tell someone that you're good at orbs.

Also like if I am able to satisfy Xjaa with a dome-orb, he might vouch me for it and if I have a vouch from Xjaa who is a pretty good GFX maker himself, that might draw attention. That might tell people that I can satisfy a person with high standards.

This is not a fucking democracy. This was a rule a while back as TDD said and I don't know what happened to the original sticky.

    WHY is it a rule?

    Because read the general rules.

    "No buying vouches"

What you're doing when you're selling sigs and getting vouches is your buying vouches with sigs.

    End of story.
