New to Pking, Need Advice

After watching a couple of streams for the last few weeks I decided I want to start pking. Been looking at a couple of accounts on PA but haven't really decided what build I want to go for. Currently i'm considering 2 accounts:

- 75 att, 90 str, 40 def
- 60 att, 80 str, 80 range

If I do decide to go with these accounts, what sort of build should I aim for? (Pray lvl, gear, quests, etc.)

Never pked before so any advice is great

 

Dont buy from PA!!! Search for a good account here on sythe from a ex global or something like that just keep in mind to buy from MEGA trusted its worth it in the long run believe me because PA dont refund like 90% of their customers when scammed.

You should test to pk on a f2p R/2H pure or lower lvl gmauler before going in and pking in the mid lvls just so you learn the ticks/switches/combos is my advice if you really never pked it isnt easy as it looks on streams

 

Honestly, I would start from the ground up. Practice with a lower-level pure, and work your way up

 

Honestly do like what orange said, start off with a low level gmauler. If you're too lazy pay someone to get 50 attack, 55 str, 70 range then get mith gloves and avas (or stay 1 pray) then go pk. Build your account up slowly and eventually max it out as a 75 attack zerker. I'd stay 60 attack until you got to a zerker and pk as a 60 attack zerker for awhile then switch to 75 attack. Also in between you could do some pking at 13s, graves, east drags, etc.

 

Only buy accounts from EXTREEEMELY trusted Sythe users, you will have to be patient to find the right account/price but it's worth it. I also agree with mollipect, f2p pking is a really good way to start learning. You could also try out some private servers for a bit of practice, i'd recommend os-scape.

 

Yea listen to the above, I bought an account for 200 usd that looked great but it was too good to be true and it got recovered. Honestly wait for a mega trusted person here before you buy. Tips for game would be practice in safe places first to get switches and spec combos perfect

Im currently looking at an account with 40 att, 90 str, 80 range, 1 def, 82 hp.

Should I leave it as a rune pure ? (what can I do with it essentially)
or should I get 50 att and turn it into a gmauler?

 

Unless you want to f2p pk only then no go straight to 50 attack. Also don't buy accounts from PA or untrusted users as you will most likely have the account recovered.

 

Yeah I was looking at an account from keifer (19k positives) or crazypipe (nearly 4k)...figured I could trust them given their reputation.

Now for a gmauler, Idealy what gear/prayer should I go with?

 

31 pray. Go any higher and you're getting fucked by better builds.

 

I agree with creating your own account, comes with the satisfaction.

 

I was a zerker for 2 years and I went from 60 to 75 to 90 attack. If I could stay anything, it'd be 60 attack.

Seems to me like 75 attack 90 strength ags zerks are the meta at the moment. Works well against mains and other zerks. This style gets boring fairly quickly, because everyone's using ags.

60 attack zerks are primarily pure killers. These accounts are generally alot more fun because the average fight is MSB > dragon anything. There's alot of creativity here; you can use dds, gmaul, anchor, D2H, dmace, hunters xbow, etc. And 60 attack wrecks pures. (I'm not sure if smite is common at 85 combat, but stay 43 prayer to start)
I think b0aty announced he was making a 60 att rune pure; if you don't trust me, trust him.

Also remember that you can only go forward. So might as well start 60!

Finally, don't go straight 40 def. Get barrows gloves (41 defense? or maybe 42 def for void) Remember to quest all of your defence, zerks require alot of planning. Good luck.

 

50 att 99 str 1 def is best

zerkers 60 att good with claws or 75 att for ags

range is good also so you can hybrid also getting 94 magic a must

 

Create your own accounts and i prefer 50 att.

 

Everyone has their own preference for what they find fun and it depends if you are gonna be playing by yourself or with friends. Me and my one friend always make level 5 mage pures and just wreck people in multi and we'll spend a few hours doing that until we level up too high then just abandon the account. You'll spend like 25k but have a ton of fun doing it. We also have main 1 def pures that we are working on leveling through 07 again as we were basically maxed before EOC ruined everything.

 

Personally I like zerker builds. I have a maxed 75 attk zerk and love it. But i feel like you kind of just have to try different builds out for yourself and figure out what you like.
