Buying PBP Pin 1.5m

Hello all, I am buying a US PBP Pin. Last night was horrible...someone with the email "[email protected]" scammed me for 3mil. He had over 100 posts, and had vouches so I didnt think I had anything to worry about, anyways payed him 3m first, all pins invalid and he tried saying I never payed his character named "Yeh_Im_Phya". I will only use an official MM, and if all goes well I will buy more than one (paying 1.5m each). Being scammed left me with a question...how does the MM make sure the PBP Pin is valid? the mm uses ur pin on ur acc so see if it works btu he usaully tells u teh pin so u can do it yourself
