    The Optimus Maximus Keyboard, previously just "Optimus keyboard", is a keyboard currently in development, from the Art. Lebedev Studio, headed by Artemy Lebedev. Each of its keys is a display which can dynamically change to adapt to the keyboard layout in use or to show the function of the key. Pre-orders began on 20 May 2007 for limited production runs. Every key is a small lcd screen, which can change to any picture, letter, For example, when the user presses the shift key, the pictures would change to upper-case versions. If you change to a different font, so will the keys. You can also change it to different languages, or even layouts for just photosop...or quake 3 shortcuts.

    who cares? Its a bunch of customizable icons ...
    I don't even need to look at my keyboard. I know where all the keys are so I press them. I simply don't see why you would need this when there are cheaper gaming keyboards with programmable buttons anyway. The only upside is this is a keyboard with graphical appeal, and you don't need that if you don't look at it. And of course, I don't look at my keyboard so I don't need one of those fancy pieces of shit.

    It's for people who run a powerhouse workshop, they're already spending thousands on mics, screens, etc, so this is worth it. This is not for the masses.
