Questions for range staking

Well im new to staking so i just have a few questions.
#1 Whats the best 1 handed range wepon for staking against 1 def pure and 40 def pures?

Obby rings
Rune knives
dragon darts or ruen cbow and d bolts

if im 70 range
40 atk and 60 str will that be good to start with? what rules should i set?

should i stay 1 defence or get defence up?

 

ive staked a few times and read a few guides i would prolly use a rune cbow with drag bolts

stay 1 def for sure.. get a rune c bow buy around 30 dragon bolts and 10 onyx enchanted.. once your half hp put the onyx bolts in and use the special it has.. trust me you will win no matter what with onyx enchanted bolts and the special

 

range stakers pwn roflz. im making one atm, im giving my mauler a rest for now.

 

Rune Knives until kinda low, then use Rune C Bow with d bolts fore the ko, if that doesnt get them switch to knives again

 

umm i saw a gd stratigy teh other day
use kknies a few hits switch to maul use specs then keep kniving it ownes ddsers

 

pro stakers usually have def (it helps alot when fighting a pure str dds'er)
