Cool GFX Suggestion.

Hey,

I was thinkin...what if sythe had a Graphics team. like you have to apply for it. Your skill in gfx must be moderate just so we done get ppl that cant Realy make sigs in the team.
It will also get more average gfx people try harder on sig's to get into the team...and make a gfx team section where we can work on a Projects for the site ect.
When u get in under your name where it sez leecher,members ect it will say Graphics Team
You must have atleast 100 posts+ to join just so no noobs can join and stay for like a week and then just dissapear. This could also help out not so good people in the team to learn more skills by having a GFX Psd file section where Team members could contribute to it so others can pick up some new things.

Please post suggestions and comments.

Wow, nice suggestion, i'm seriously agreeing totally with this. It'd be good to help starting GFX artists, somewhat like User Education but only for GFX. Good idea Darkstar!

 

At the moment, there isn't many that would be classified as moderate, but this isn't really needed either as there isn't really anything you could make for the site. There is already plenty of places you can offer PSDs for people to learn from (The recourse sticky is one of them, want to add something in there let me know) or the "Tutorials and Advice" section.

If the quality of GFX here was much greater, it might be an alright idea *cough* GlobalSigAlliance'sIdea *cough* but it just has no purpose at the moment, esspecially considering it's obvious to people who would be people to ask question and such for (from posting everywhere ;p aye boomheadshot?).

 

the purpuse is so ppl can try harder and mabey get better to get into the team and yeh nothing is needed on the site but we could always have lil comps with in the gfx team. Yeh anyways i just think it would help alot of ppl out all of the other gfx communities iv been on have one and it reali gets ppl to try there best. thats how i got to where i can trying new things to make teams on other forums.

 

This idea is decent although with some changes.

I think there should be a GFX rank, one which someone should work to with thier GFX.

Other people who are already GFX people should vote on whether they are good enough, this would attract better GFX'ers to come to the site, and stay.

However, it wont be done because Sythe's main role isn't to do with GFX, the admins wont agree i'm 100% sure.

Also TDD what did that comment mean, it wasn't clear to me

 

TBH and blunt. I hate this idea. I've seen out many sites and it always fails. Also we cant make the title change from leecher to GFX Team etc., because thats a staff benefit. It would have to be another rank, and more ranks = bad. There would just be too many applications none good enough and then we will need to moderate activity and skill etc. and what work is being done.

 

accurly most of the gfx sites with teams work very well...and as boom said it would attract attentions but yeh even tho this isnt a gfx site it dosent hurt to have a good gfx section. that way people can join with out having anything to do with gaming...Durial20 for a graphics mod u dont seem to exited about helping out the gfx side. I think its good that people will app cause then we can tell then what they need to work on ect.

Yeah that's why gaming gutters GFX team two generations have both disappeared shortly after attaining the rank despite the benefits the second generation got (is still brain storming things and nomhak isn't allowing demotions paired with extremely small number of GFXer's the effect is to be expected but one can always cling to false hope)

Members won't come for resources when they can't see anything that impresses them by the people posting and/or a bad environment. Many gaming GFXer's are not fond of how sythe.org rates (haven't been active here so not sure how it is anymore but it was... weird before...) and most GFXer's actively go to several GFX forums and don't want to put time in to a small time section such as sythe.org's GFX section for instance.

The effects may be different for the amount of GFXer's on sythe.org and activity (if it's still the same since I became inactive) but sythe.org wouldn't have any worthwhile resources and better resources could be obtained from dedicating one's self to a large GFX forum.

The only reason I keep the GFX team at gaming gutter is because it was a group created before my arrival and I was hoping my ideas would help make it desirable but as I delved more into GFX and what GFXer's like paired with the declining activity of the generation with the previous one the results are almost exactly the same. The main problem is not enough test subjects and those who where added weren't very attached to GFX in the first place so it may all still be mere coincidence that it occurred twice (likes clinging to false hope)
