Blitz Mauler guide, dedicated to "x nd o", I no longer pocess him

This guide I wrote on RS forums, but I'll c and p it here.

Hi, I'm Lul Pie, and I'm the previous owner of "x nd o", a blitz mauler until someone has keylogged my computer, forcing me to reformat, and when I got back the account was gone. I Suggest you read the whole guide before starting.

Anyways, I will divide this guide into a few sections:

Section 1: The list of quests

To start a Blitz/Granite Maul hybrid, you would need the following quests:

Section 2: Getting Started

Now that you have a new account, what shall you do? Well, in my experience, You should always do the quests with attack experience first. for the Grand Tree, Tree Gnome Village, and other quests you need to fight a boss in, take a look in my Magic section.

Ok, I assume you have all the attack quest done, and have the ability to weild rune scimitar (40+ attack), and perhaps 30 strength (from waterfall quest), Where do you want to train? The Answer is simple: Waterbirth island. get yourself to Seers bank, take out 1000(1k) gold, cammy tele tab or tele runes (if you're in the level to use them) a full inventory of food, and have your rune scimitar, climbing boots( if you have death plateau done) full iron armor, and Mith Gloves (if you did RFD up to mith) or combat bracelet.

Now, walk up to relleka from Camulot, which is east of the bank, go north when you see a road, and just follow the train north west. after you go to a town, go to the most northwest corner, there you would take a boat to waterbirth island with Jarvald, but you got to pay 1k gold if you havent done fremmy trials.

in Waterbirth island, stay outside where the snow appears, there should be a few spots that you can train on with rock crabs. These spots might get a little crammed.

You should be able to train here from what ever your attack level is to 50, and your strength to what ever you want them to be.

One better place to train is experiments, if you decide to get prayer before hand. doing priest in peril gets you to canafis, which let you start a quest to get to experiments. when you start the quest, go upstairs to the castle, and search the 2 book cases search some books to get a part of the star. there should be book cases in northeast and northwest chimney. After you get the parts, combine them and go to the grave area outside of the castle to the east. use the star on the most east grave and you should be able to get in. Train there until you have desired str.

Section 3: Prayer or no prayer?

My experience tells me that prayer can be a good thing, as long as it's not too high. for blitz maulers, prayer should be on 31.

Doing Priest in Peril can help you get to the best training spot in all of runescape(for pures) and restless ghost + priest in peril gets your prayer to 15. You should use bones till 31 prayer.

For you none prayer people, hoping to become a staker one day, should just train at waterbirth island, but my advice is to get 31 prayer, and maybe 43 if you want protection prayer.

Section 4: further training

I suggest that training with the Brine Sabre for melee is a bit better, I've seen better hits with the Brine, and it has +2 more strength than a rune scimitar.

Also, if you have the patience, you can have as much strength as you want, if you dont turn to 60 attack :s

Section 5: The start of a mage journey

Magic! one of my favorite skills in the game. It's simple, and one rule is crucial for blitz maulers: dont get HP experience training magic, unless you're doing quests and needs combat spells. I also suggest that you get 40+ range before getting mage up. I'll talk about range training in my Meeting the Requirements for DT section. For Magic, it's easier with 40 range because you can now cast any spell and not gain any hp exp. I suggest using curse spells. if you are currently 1 magic, put on full iron, air staff, and take off anything else. have 50 mind runes with you, and cast until you're 3 mage. now, you need 5000 cast of curse until you can be 55 magic. I suggest curse spells because it's the cheapest. You can bring water staff, and use earth runes and bodies to cast.
Cast confuse until you can cast weaken, then cast weaken until you can cast curse. You would now need 5000 curse casts to get to 55 magic. I suggest you get a mud staff, battle is good. you would need 30 attack 30 magic to weild. now, cast until you get 55 magic, and buy yourself 32k (32000) nature runes, and 32k of whatever you want to alch, after the 32k alchs, you should be 82 magic.

Section 6: Meeting the requirements for Desert Treasure.

Thieving is by far the hardest requirement for Desert Treasure, and the way I got it was doing quests to the highest thieving level possible, and then thieved Master Farmers. Fight arena brings your thieving level from 1 to 14, and then you can do The Feud and Tourist trap later on in the levels. When you get to 38 thieving, thieve master farmer, you can thieve up to 1k exp in matter of seconds if you're lucky. sure it can get aggrovating at times, but it was the fastest way for me to 53.

Firemaking, by far the easiest. Just burn logs to 15 fm, then oaks to 30, then burn 1k willows to 50. takes an hour.

Magic I talked about in my magic guide

Range: the 40 range, PLEASE Range it manually, since you did quest for attack experience without hp, now is your time to use range to make up for the lost hp, or you can do witches house.

Slayer, easy, get a task and kill until 10 slayer.

Section 7: Desert Treasure

For Kamil (Ice), You would need a friend who's done desert treasure with 43 prayer to help you. kill the trolls in the beginning, when you get inside the tunnel after killing trolls, follow your friend, have him turn on protect melee and wait behind the giant rock, tell your friend to stand straight south of the rock and mage kamil. This is impossible to do alone with 31 prayer.

for Vampire, when he appears run outside, he should teleport to you, then run to the fence area where it starts to bend, on the inside, and he should be trapped. mage him, eat while needed, it should be cake.

For the Smoke guy, Bring snares and snare with water spells. I soloed this guy along with all the other other than Kamil.

Damis, this one I find second easiest since you just have to run to the southeast side of the dungeon with him following you, with luck, a rat should block his contact with you. just mage him.

The pyramid, bring 15 sharks, the 4 diamonds, and rest in super energy potions. always keep run on, and look at the map on runehq or tip it.
