#1) HOW TO CHOOSE WHAT ITEM YOU ARE GOING TO MERCHANT?

Answer) Since merchanting is very tricky, you have to first look close at everyone's needs and what they really want? what they are really after? & finally what they will get it from it in return? - Many people will look for an item that will be profitable for them, meaning they can get money out of it "EASILY" & "SAFELY". Some people will just buy the item for "show off - Masks, p - hats & santa's etc & some will buy an item for "Pk.ING" (Big time) or other uses. So again, look closely and be "ACTIVE", if you are not then merchanting is not the thing for you.

#2) HOW TO ADVERTISE THAT ITEM?

Answer) Effective adertisement is the most biggest resposibility/part you will take in merchanting, also at the same time you have to control the advertisements by making sure you don't overdoo it or take someone elses ideas. If you overdoo it and post ideas of someone else's there will be a huge impact on your business. You will looseyour customers/buyers plus your reputation through out the site. So pay more attention to such key areas because this is how you will get sucessfull (85% sure - 15% if you don't follow what i have said & try to act smart).

#3) THE USUAL UPS & DOWNS - READ CAREFULLY

Answer) All of you out there who will go for merchanting, you have to be alarmedabout the prices, if you don't you might loose money rather than having all your dreams come true. First thing you should work on is do all the calculations for each item and go over again and calculate how much you will make/item, if you don't you won't know anything when the customers ask a you a "Question", so be prepared & have all you stock ready by time, your customers will be soon amazed on your delivery time's or whatever which than will affect your business + your reputation (the more, the better). There will be days when you are going to loose money and things you need won't get, i would suggest you don't think about it much because it will ruin all your future plans.


#4) DOES THE AMOUNT OF MONEY YOU INVEST MATTERS?

Answer) Yes, it will bring a huge impact. The more money and items you have the better money you will get per each trade. If you don't believe me here are the calculations:

Jack invvests approx 4.55M in his merchanting business.
Since he is a first timer he will find perm-sellers and will contact them in a good manner, and ask them if they can provide him with a good deal per each item.
The merchanter tells him, i will give you 100 items for 45.5k EA (which actually costs 50K EA). Jack arrives to his bank and puts the items and begins to think how much will he sell them for? Since he knows the actual price is 50K EA, he will sell for 46-50K EA, In this he will make 4.7M.

He calculates and removes it from how much he got it for from how much he sold it for.

= Payed - sold
= 4.55M - 4.7M
= 150K
Therefore he realizes, he made 150K without the help of any other skills. He slowly gets the idea and revises it till he reaches his goal.

#5) DOES THE AREA WHERE I WILL MERCH WOULD HAVE AN IMPACT ON MY BUSINESS?

Answer) Hmm, i will say yes but again it will depend on the people. I think i will leave this one to you - After all it's your game and you have to work it out - Just to let you know "The more you know about how you going to work it out the more simpler it will be for you to solve it out".

great guide, nicely done, 7.8/10 would be 10/10 if you included pics and price ranges and good items to merch.

Quite basic. I mean, some RANDOM guy comes up and randomly sells him items for 45k ea, when they're actually worth 50k ea? And this guide doesn't give a list of items to merchant on....just the basics in buying & selling. Anyways, just my opinion. 5/10

u sell it for more, for profit...
eg:
u buy a 2h for 45k and sell for 50k - u get 5k profit!!

Great work in covering the aspects of merchanting. It gives the most basic information for merchanting which most people don't understand. Now merchanting will be a bit harder for the rest of us =(

 

I agree with shadow s t r, because some people are better with pictures and it would really help alot. But since i havnt seen much merch guides and compared to the ones i have seen 8.5/10.
