My first shitty pic

Well.. I dont know what i did.. I just clicked and drawed some things in photoshop CS3 dont hate me for being bad at photoshop..this is my first time and i suck...to tierd to read any guides..so here i go :

personally its ok for your first try but try to crop it down a bit to show the more interesting parts

 

The background lets it down, other than that its a great sig.

 

Agree.Background is mediocre,judging from your work on the figure,you can definitely come up with a more impressive background.

The figure looks very familiar though..If you did draw it,where did you take inspiration from?

 

It not that great. It's great for your first time I guess. Here's some advise to you, don't get tired of reading tuts because without those you work will never improve. Honestly you sig just look like you slapped the render onto a grey background and then put a plastic wrap filter on it. The text doesn't really blend into the sig at all, you just took the color off his boot and put the text. Plus you can't even read the text.

 

The background can use ALOT of detail, maybe the wings a little, everything else is great for your first time .
