Looking for computer build advice

This is my current set up:

Gigabyte Micro ATX MOBO
EVGA 500W Power Supply
GeForce GTX 960
AMD FX-6300
8GB RAM
1TB HHD
120GB SSD

I want to get better FPS when playing certain games. I was told that my main bottleneck may be my CPU, but I'm not positive on that. I'm thinking about ordering these 3 parts. Anyone have any recommendations for around the same price, or any other tips for it?

You'll only need one motherboard. Also your ram is probably DDR3 you'd have to replace it with some DDR4.

 

no idea on the b150m overclocking (which i think you're going to do since you bought a K), but you should be good, ram speeds don't really matter for gaming if thats what you were looking at though

 

DDR4 is required for that chipset

No idea how to overclock, but was suggested this processor and it's $100 off so decided to go with it.

B150 Chipset motherboards don't support CPU overclocking, also any ram that you put in them will be clocked down to 2133mhz, if you want a premium motherboard that support overclocking and higher RAM frequencies, then go for a Z170 Chipset.

As for the i5 6600, why pay 30 dollars more for no noticeable performance increase.

get a i5 6500 instead and youll save some money that you can use for a graphics card upgrade at some point in the future.

I also feel like you've gone for quite expensive components, especially considering you live in the US it shouldnt be hard to find good deals on the components your getting.

Higher chipset, better heatsinks, cheaper price, M2 slot... your basically getting more for less.
