I Like Emo Muzic Not All But Some

 

If you didn't know, I bet a lot of kids don't, Emo stands for Emotional. Emotional means feelings, so they listen to this music because they have feelings.

 

Yo soul, You can't be saying its crap because it there opinion of good music i asume you have and opion of good music to! I Like rap some ppl may hate it but it my opinion of good music! And so on!

 

Well, it's music that relates to them, sometimes that is similar to them, listen to the lyrics of Simple Plan, some songs being Untitled, Shutup and another song i cannot remember, it explains something like being the same as them. They just need something unique to help them out.

 

Lets get this straight;

The idea of Music is to relate to someone; people listen to music because it makes them feel, well happy, if someone is sad they will listen to another sad song so they know that they arn't alone. Emo and Emo Music are too missunderstood. You DONT have to be emo to listen to Emo Music, im sick of ppl saying OMG ur emo cause u listen to this. Emo music is actually a great genre; the reason ppl write music is to tell people a message or share themselves. Thats exactly what this genre is doing, it is people sharing there problems with the world and expressing themselves. There is absoloutly nothing wrong with that. People nowadays dont appreciate music for what it is, you dont nessicarily have to like it but you can at least give the common courtesy of accepting the the people who made the music actually tried and gave much time to create something that makes other people feel good.

Now for the second side, Emo's are too stereotyped as is the genre. People who wear tight jeans arn't always Emo, and all emos dont cut there wrist. Emo's are often really nice people who need help and support, like others do when they are depressed. And im sure every single one of you have been depressed sometime in yourlife. They don't deserve to be discluded from the rest of the society, all humans are equal. Someone early in this thread said that emos were just attention seekers, this is not true. There are a lot of people who are attentionseekers and act like they are Emo's, this is not an Emo. Emo's are different, they actually have very good views on things and are emotionally troubled, there is a difference.

I hope this makes people at least treat the genre and the group of people with respect

yes i have, it is when people believe that there music is the only right music and all other music is shit and believe the people who listen to the music is shit. it also is a genre of music in way (kinda like how emo started of as a derogatory term but now is morphed into a completly different concept) ; bands such as atreyu fall under this category. its kinda like religion how some believes that there idealistic view of the world is right and that everyone elses theorys should go to hell.

 

And most of them have a really weird way of dressing them selves lol

People need to get along and stop thinking for themselves and start thinking before they say some shit about a kid, or some band/music genre, because you have NO idea what its like for them, everyone has their own story. How did i learn this? Because my friend was pretty smart, and all that gud stuff, she just was a little heavier set, people started bashin on her for that, now they think shes all emo and shit, JUST GET ALONG.

rockers listen to "emo"
"emo" listen to rock

style of music, is the way the song is played. Some people like way faster/harder music than others. wtf....

and dont say they dress weird, because they probably think you dress weird too, at least they have dignity to get along with one another unlike some people.......
